great review. honestly would rather film myself in public with one of these than a big mirror-less camera set up. one question though, does it have an external mic jack? so i could connect my wireless rode mic.

It looks great, shallow depth of field in a tiny sensor camera . . . You must be zoomed in pretty far! I’m on the lookout for one of these. For shooting outdoor sports. The eyepiece view finder is a must! None of the other budget 4K cameras have that.

It will be nice to see this comparison, I'm trying to decide between this two cameras Sony ZV-E10 should have better quality but Panasonic vx981/980 should be easier to film specialy in auto and for long videos

is it true that in auto mode the camera changes the shutter speed to even 1/1500 on a sunny day?

Maybe, it's not something I pay much attention to with the camera because I pretty much only use it for family functions. Putting an ND filter on this camera will solve that. There are threads in front of the lens

Did you use the vx981 camera to capture shot with yourself at the beginning?

No sony zv-e10. There will be a video that will compare that shot you see of me at the beginning with the panasonic, the Sony e10 and Sony cx405 shortly. It will be a very quick one

Can't wait, Sony cx405 is another one to consider. Maybe with a bit of color correction can fit for YT videos on a budget.
