It definitely needs an upgrade, but do you really feel 18-105 is adequate for wildlife?

@mkdsk101 I think the new Sony Nx800/z200 can. Also my old JvC Ls300 could do it, and also the jvc 250u (I don't remember the exact name of it). There's probably others

All the test are from the Canon adapter. The Meike adapter is a separate video. It's in the description and I mentioned it at the very beginning.

I made at least 2 videos about log on my channel that explain this. There's different factors. If you're using cine ei and underexposing as a result that could be number 1, stop doing that and use flexible iso and push the iso to where it needs to be, 2. Understand that slog has less sharpness than other picture profiles , so you have to sharpen in post, 3.also slog when not in the native ISOs is simply noisier than the other picture profiles, so unfortunately sometimes you will need to denoise in post, but honestly a lot of that goes away if you push the ISO a little. People keep treating the FX30 like the FX3 here on KZbin. They are totally different when it comes to slog. What I said about the fx30 is totally different on the fx3. You have to use cine ei no matter what on that one. 4. For either camera, the easiest thing is to simply shoot in pp11 or simply turn the pp to off. The image will look amazing even at higher ISO if you expose properly. 5. If you are an slog lover, make sure to let your editing software convert your footage to rec709 first. You'll be amazed at how easy and how much better it will look if you don't do it from scratch.

@@MichaelWTurner how to convert the footage in premier pro from slog to 709 ? And I've checked I don't have cine el active it is on flexible iso so I don't get it why it gets noisy like this..

I sold that camera a very long time ago. I don't remember exactly, but almost positive it was listed in the manual

I like the quality from Panasonic cameras too. One thing I hate about my Sony Fx30 is that I can't shoot in HD because the quality is terrible. Sometimes I don't need 4k, and I've never used a Panasonic camera that didn't have good HD

Some do, but I wish they would go even larger at the expense of 20x(+) zoom.

It might have something to do with the size of lens that would be required to make it practical, but I'm with you. When it comes to camcorders, they really like making them with these crazy zoom ranges such as 20 - 30x zoom, but honestly maybe something like 7x zoom with f2 - 4 lens would be excellent. I wish they would try it, but every time a new one comes out, they are disappointing.

@@MichaelWTurner The KZbin community is a compete madness. There are adding more and more plastic junk to this cameras, to make them better, instead of telling to Sony to put a sensor in a camcorder body, like they did form the 1900 to 2010.
