Aha are a very underrated and unappreciated band i feel and their music is always different each song is different to the one before etc. Thanks again and take care 🇳🇴🏴😘

Out of all those wonderful A-ha tracks, the one I always used to slightly cringe at was "Touchy", even when it came out it felt wrong ! Sounding so light and poppy. But now I actually love the song for its breezy style and fun. As I always end my A-ha reaction comments this way, why stop now ? lol ... but Morten. 😁❤

For Bond themes usually all the singers and all the bands had to work with John Barry at the time but A-ha & John Barry hated working together. The band felt that John Barry didn't listen to their suggestions for the song. So much that A-ha decided to make THEIR own version of this song on the album which is completely different than this one. I agree with the band and I actually prefer the A-ha version on the album "Stay On These Roads" that the version on that music video. It's much more dynamic. I wish a music video existed with the album version as a soundtrack instead. I love A-ha but this is not "The Living Daylights" for me, the album version is.

The blood that moves the body and touchy are from their 3rd album stay on these roads, which was even more synth pop that previous 2 albums, even though the title track and out of blue comes green are best off that album, the album for me suffered from the production. Magne hated all the videos done for that album. That was 1988, their next album they totally ditched. The synth pop sound and produced arguably one of their best albums. Then their 5th album is where dark is the night can be found, and it was a more rock album, so if you like dark is the night you will like a lot from that album, including a rockier version of move to Memphis.

From people following the James Bond franchise the closest,A-ha got quite the good feedback for Living Daylights: "They captured the very nerve, vibe and sound that has become the true identity of the James Bond franchise,as well as making it modern and funky. One of the absolute best James Bond soundtracks made!". I cant help but agree,i think thanks to my mom and 2 uncles and later on me seeking up more,i have now seen every James Bond movie and listened to its soundtrack. They truly captured the James Bond sound to me,and Mortens vocals are deeper and just perfect for this type of song, Critics will say that the movie itself was a flop, but i beg to differ your honor lol. I fairly enjoyed Timothy Daltons take on James Bond,he was not close to my favourite Roger Moore or the great Sean Connery, but he was defintly better then his reputation said. The cast itself was also good, with Maryam d'Abo being one of the hottest models at the time making it into the big screen as a female agent as well. Caroline Bliss was as always stunning as Miss Moneypenny. A very underrated James Bond. I think many failed by comparing Timothy to the best James Bonds, the couple of movies he did,he brought his own take on the agent. He wasnt as smooth with it as Roger and Sean, but i appreciated his "alternative" James Bond. Over the years i simply learned to appreciate him more. Maryam was also one of the most gorgeous women i had seen back then,so i have difficulties trashing Living Daylights. I know A-ha has been doing remastered uploads to several of theyr videos already,so hopefully they brush some dust of this one and finally add it to the list of official music videos available, because like the experts say: This is a gem and one of the best James Bond songs created. 4:53 You know i have been waiting for this one😍Honestly speaking,i believe this is my absolute favourite A-ha song simply because of all the vocal changes, the super funky beat, the huge potential of a movie soundtrack this brings (the music video itself makes you believe its from a movie!),the quality is just overall through the roof! I find myself making theese small "woooh`s!" by myself at my many favourite spots in the song, even now watching it for probably the several hundred time. And i suggested this also because (i let PancakeMarshmallowDude put words to this) 9:15 YES! See,i listen to what people like, and i know if the bass is heavy present. You are most likely gonna love the song haha. 11:02 The pokerface is not present here 🤣🤣🤣 This had me rolling! Touchy!: I knew this would bring out the laughs from you,as it is them going abit out of theyr comfort zone and showing theyr goofy, humorous side. I think there was a behind the scenes video at some point for this, they admitted that trying to shoot this had them lose character several times,so they had to do multiple takes on certain situations in the video. You Are The One is abit like this one, they continue being lighthearted and not taking themselfs too seriously. But it is even cuter as it is even more of a love song.

I love your observations and comments. I have to admit that I was really looking forward to your reaction to Dark Is The Night For All, so much so that I watched it first 😂 And you didn't disappoint 😉 On the other hand, this is rather sad - Morten's extraordinary beauty seems more of a curse, as it is so overwhelming that it distracts from the unique musical talents of all three members... Yes, I totally agree with what you said above. Also really though, he could have totally toned it down a ton. I mean, does he really need to be half naked, wearing tight clothes, (pretty much naked in Velvet), being in like 90% of the camera shots, etc? I mean...the music industry, media....they really shoved Morten in all of our faces. This hit me hard when I watched the documentary "A-ha the movie". I went back and watched videos of them from the beginning and really, ALL three of them are good looking guys. They took Morten and made him front and center plus sexed him up a lot. Hello, of course you're going to notice and basically just pay attention to that when it's shoved in your face. I realized too that really, Morten isn't even my type. I am more into more down to earth teddy bear types, like Sean Astin, Brendon Fraser, Alfonso Ribeirto, even Jay Leno. I did really just pay attention to Morten and say things like "He is so hot" and everything till I saw that documentary. Then I thought , holy crap.....I have been brainwashed. Not that he isn't good looking, I mean, I know he's attractive like say, Brad Pitt is attractive. The kind of very thin GQ model type. Always looking absolutely perfect to the point of not being real a lot. Truly though, have you looked at Magne? He is seriously also attractive. So is Pål. To me, one isn't more of a God than the other one. What is truly sad is even talking about how attractive any of them are. You just close your eyes and the most amazingly phenomenal thing about all three of them is how freaking talented they are as musicians, writers, and singers. All three of them. So sad about the whole looks things. Now though, I could care less what any of them look like. They could all be overweight, be bald, wear nothing but sweatsuits, whatever.....I am in love with all three of them for that magic that is in their heart and minds that makes this music. I am glad I have broken free of that brainwashing spell that was put on me. 💖

@@shelld1261 I didn't want to go into this topic that much, but you basically summed up what I was thinking. I was lucky that I had heard them before I saw them, so I have never been really affected by this "brainwashing" (but I have to admit that Morten is my type 😉). But I agree that sometimes it's really hard to understand Morten, when he complains about people focus on his looks, while he did all he could to attract attention to it. It wasn't just about official photo shoot / videos that the managers forced him to do, but about all those concerts where he was half naked too... I am so glad that somehow they have survived it and are still making amazing music. 💞

I saw a comment on the actual video one day that hit me perfectly. "I always wondered why a song with such great meaning shows Morten to look like a male escort". Yep....this isn't the actual video they wanted. The original went with the true meaning of the song a lot more. There is a reason Morten has the bare torso. They projected an image of the real Morten trying to break free out of the image of himself. Like they were showing they wanted to break free of the images the music industry, media, and yes, fans had A-ha bound to. (Also why you see a lot of images of different forms of binding) Well, they didn't air it because it was decided to be too "graphic", but was perfectly okay to turn it into a Playgirl video staring Morten's torso and crotch with Pål and Magne as eye candy in the background. 🙄 There is a video of an interview of them from a while ago. It was promoting their East of the Sun Album. All three just looked genuine. Nobody looked like they were trying to be sexy or like some kind of GQ model. (yes, even Morten) They were trying to be polite about being grateful for the success of Take on Me while at the same time stressing how this isn't all they are. That song and the whole pop image/boy band for girls doesn't really define who they are. Well...that didn't go over well. Seems like well, fans and the media liked the other image and liked Morten more as an object...so there you see Memorial Beach...yep...Morten is quite sexed up for sure and back to getting 95% of the camera time. Magne and Pål get sucked a bit into that sex image too, it seems. (though it does feel like after this album, they just went back to themselves, thankfully) Feels like Morten was always looking perfect and GQ like after that, till this day even.Even in 2000, there he is, pretty much naked in a bathtub for the Velvet video. Many very pin up kind of photos with his solo career. Doing concerts in tight leather pants and a shirt open to show off his chest. Sigh....😔 The hottest thing about all three of them is their absolutely phenomenal talent for writing, playing of instruments, and singing. What is in their minds and hearts that produce the magic they make should be what everyone drools over. Too bad most of the time it's lost on Morten's looks. Now he says he hates it how it seems the main subject is about his looks. Hmmmm...well.....when you did things the way you did where most of your career has been shoving your looks in everyone's face, it's hard for people not to notice that first and maybe the only thing about you as well. 🤷♀

@@shelld1261 i think that the record company saw that Morten is very good looking and that is a way of selling records, but they are serious musicians and they are serious about music, and also they said it themselves that once they got a hit they could do whatever they wanted, but that was very wrong, morten was and still a sex symbol who sells record of his looks.
