Panchkajjaya is made out of two words "pancha" means five and "kajjaya" means festival sweets. Different people will make different types of panchakajjaya recipes, but main ingredient used for preparing panchakajjaya is black whole bengal gram or bengal gram. panchakajjaya is made out of five ingredients - generally bengal gram (kadle bele), sugar or jaggery, sesame seeds, cardamom, coconut.
