I have eaten here as a student and employee between 1974 and 1989. Still have fond memories. All we had was an absolutely basic space kitchen and diner all in ONE . Probably 20 seats on wooden benches. There were just 3-4 dishes. Puri simple and straight forward, potato bhajee watery but tasty, Pickled green chilly kept on the table in plates, One could help themselves as per their spice tolerance. Lassi , can't remmeber if they served hot jalebies along with the lassi , because we South Indians just come into Bombay (as it was known then) were not familiar with the local favourite Hot fresh jalebi with fresh hot milk or lassi. . All these thali and aamras etc were not there. Place was really an absolute aam aadmi place. what is presented here is almost compared to what it was.

Now Pancham changed a lot. I too miss those old wooden tables & entering the hotel thru narrow passage. The spice aromas always passionate us & tempt us to drop regular local and just enjoy the feast here.

Try the following restaurants- Trishna in Fort area (Seafood) , Mahesh Lunch home (Sea food ) ya Jai Hind Lunch home ke seafood dishes try kijiye. And also, you can try Chhote Miyaan (Ayyubs' ) for Mughlai at Kala Ghoda (hidden gem). And Old restaurants mein please try Baghdadi and Mezbaan near Gateway of India. Also, you can try Yoko Sizzlers for some Sizzling plates.

Yahya bhai namaskar. Matunga local station ke bohot nazdeek hi ek mashhoor meat wale ki dukaan hai. Naam mae bhool raha hoon. Lekin aap aram se usey dhoondh lenge. Puri wali shop kafi famous lag rahi hai rush ko dekh ke to. Ratnagiri ke Alphonso( haphus) aam ka wakai mukabla nahi hai. Isi aam se bana Kandhi Peda bhi wahan bohot bikta hai. Ghar ke liye zaroor laiye. Namaskar.
