i know that its the food that they got used to but the their instinct tells them that that is the only food that will give nourishment. if they were to find better source of food then thier survival wont depend on bamboo and water alone. think about it, how much nutrition are you going to get from bamboo?

@goodbyekittykat not really sure but as what i've seen on some pictures and videos, that's really how you pick up a panda, i think thats how the mommy pandas do it too, just like in cats and grizzly bears. not a hundred percent sure tho.

If a panda was in distress... it's be very obvious to spot in a video, pretty sure one of those guys would be missing a limb.But those panda's are so spoiled with living conditions + food, all they care about is there Treats. Give them some treats, they'll let you cuddle all you want, they don't care one bit, and there very sturdy/strong animals, a little tug or push wont even come close to even tickling a panda.

Looks like someone paying to play with the Pandas. Kind of like paying to swim with Dolphins. Not sure if this is right. I guess am guessing these animals would never be released in the wild.

dphotos , you make a donation to their breeding project, you get a reword to get close to them in one minute. The difference between this and swim with a dolphin is your money would spend on protecting this animal, and no-one take profits out of it. And part of them will be released into forest after trainings, but big part of them will stay in breeding center, so they can breed more cubs, otherwise, this animal could easily extinct from the world, what it takes is only a natural disaster. They are very vulnerable kind.

if i were you, watch national geographic, animal planet or discovery channel more often. if ever they show anything about pandas then you you will know what im talking about. watch what you say rather than saying its common sense even though you dont know exactly what your talking about. educate yourself. also to add to that earlier statement, did i say that they should abandon bamboo? i never said anything, i just said they should find new sources other than bamboo.

I don't know how these people got the chance to get so closed to the pandas. I am from Chengdu. And I know the pandas are usually kept with extreme care. People are usually not allowed to touch them. ja... if you have some specialty, that's another story. I don't like this clip! These guys are are not cuddling the pandas. These pandas are constantly dragged roughly onto tourists' laps. I feel sorry for them. Cuddling with humans isn't the nature of Pandas. I don't think the Pandas like it. Just imagine yourself being locked up and being forced to sit onto hundreds of people's laps and cuddle with them all day long regardless how gross looking or sweaty the tourists are... The Chinese in this facility don't give a damn to the Pandas' welfare, they are all for the money. I think it's inhumane and sickening.
