This game had a great moments and was a big win over another hot team… … but 25 turnovers to go with 14 missed free throws is simply not good enough. Corrections will be made. Go Mavs.
@maferreira1984Ай бұрын
True. Weird game, overall, 25-19 TOs. When the score was 108-102 there was a stretch of back-to-back turnovers, misses and dumb decisions by both teams that coulda been featured in a Three Stooges film. Looked like they had bet the under on each other for 108.5 points. Everyone tried really hard to lose this game in the clutch, but the Grizzlies did a better job.
@draloaloАй бұрын
Very true. It was indeed a messy game by both teams. Mavs should feel happy about the MANY brain dead faults of Grizzlies in 4th. quarter. It felt more like a Memphis meltdown than a good Dallas run.
@m3gusta17Ай бұрын
@@maferreira1984 "Everyone tried really hard to lose this game in the clutch" that's straight up disrespectful to both Dinwiddie and PJ, those last few minutes were all Dallas. Could not have asked for better play on both ends from the squad to close the game.
@m3gusta17Ай бұрын
@@draloalo "It felt more like a Memphis meltdown than a good Dallas run" It was both. We clawed back into the game via a ridiculous number of trips to the line, but we didn't seal the win at the line. We sealed it with three tremendous back-to-back-to-back threes from Spence and PJ. If Memphis continued playing great stingy defense and efficient offense at the end of the game, we wouldn't have won, but if we hadn't made those huge buckets, it wouldn't have mattered either way how Memphis was playing.

From what I've seen of him, he should come off the bench (not a starter). But I'm sure this would upset him.
@seppuku-Ай бұрын
@@aadams99It will but unfortunately he needs to be benched. He’s shooting his lowest three point clip ever at just 36%, a career low by over 2%. He’s shot 139 threes this season already and made only 50. Any other play this would be considered decent, but we’re talking about Klay Thompson one of the greatest catch and shoot players of all time. I have a feeling it’s a confidence issue as he’s never been in the spotlight like this before, and he’s also never had to make decisions in this league, besides on the court, but not off of it.
@m3gusta17Ай бұрын
@@seppuku- good analysis - I personally wonder if his injuries have caused him to lose a step/some of the old energy he had in his legs; given the way Klay has always elevated for his jumper, I can't help but think even a small dip in leg strength could have significant consequences for his long-range accuracy and consistency.
@seppuku-Ай бұрын
@@m3gusta17 It could definitely be this as-well. His legs are not nearly in mint condition after all the injuries. It’s strange really, because he seems to make tougher shots moving/leaning one way, or quickly stopping on a dime in transition, then knocking down the three ball. But he seems to miss the easier spot up shots where he’s stationary on the perimeter, which is what most concerns me by far.
