Pandesal is a very popular Filipino breakfast bread in the Philippines usually just a plain soft bread. Lately, it’s becoming more famous with different versions and flavors, one of them is pandan! That’s why we call it - #pandansal :)

This recipe is not the usual super soft version. It’s purposely made a little bit crusty top but still very soft & fluffy inside. If you don’t want a crusty top and keep that all green color, you can just adjust the heat and shorter the time of baking. You may also add more cheese if you want or not put at all, depends on your own preference, it will taste good no matter what.
INGREDIENTS: (makes 12 pieces)
To proof yeast:
1 cup warm milk
2 tsp yeast
* Only do yeast proofing if you're NOT using an active instant dry yeast. But if you do, you may just add it and the milk directly just like the other ingredients. *
3 cups all purpose flour
1 tsp salt
1/2 cup white sugar
1/2 cup melted butter or vege oil
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla essence
1.5 tbsp pandan extract
15-20 cubes/sliced cheese
2 cups fine bread crumbs
* Add & mix all the dry ingredients first before adding up all the liquids. *
