The tayyari and meditative approach on the instrument was Banerjee's most striking feature. Although for a short period he stayed in Maihar, he was greatly influenced by other styles and gharanas and that had an effect on him too. Many movements can be seen here, which might not be the ideal ones for Desh as per Maihar (if I keep Raviji and Ali Akbar Khansaheb as the golden standard). Not saying they are wrong by any means, but they are definitely different.
