Amazing concert. Incredible audio and video quality on the livestream. Loved how the started with a shorter set of song's from their first album as Sahara Dust (Band's first name). This was one of the song's from that set and it was their first time performing it live since 2008. Then they still did another 2.5 hours as Epica. My favorite song was Rivers. I loved how they started with the acapella version from OmegaAcoustic and then came in with the full band version. Unfortunately the livestream was only available till midnight Monday. Hopefully they will release the whole show on DVD or perhaps some songs on their channel.

Hi Pandora! Yes, it is a very emotional song and it was written when Mark read news in 2002 about the assassination of the Dutch politician by a leftist extremist. Things like that are quite unusual in countries like Netherlands, so I would say it's not just about that particular politician but also about how some people try to silence others by any means (today it's a pretty common thing online). The last scene is indeed strong. The lyrics are beautiful, very sad, and the melody and Simone's voice are even more beautiful. I think I told you already that they wanted to use an old 1921 movie in the music video but couldn't afford rights to it, so they re-created those scenes themselves and made it look like an old movie. There is a short documentary about this song, it's called Epica - Making of Feint. The English version is 8:53 minutes long. There is a wonderful acoustic piano version of Feint too! You could have reacted to it as well. It's from the 2004 live TV studio session which you already know from your reactions to Sensorium and Cry For The Moon. The acoustic version is probably even more sad, but stunningly beautiful. There are also some covers from other singers but no one can sing it like Simone did. Her voice is so divine. I can never get enough of it. 🙂
