To Make Paneer Fry
Paneer - 400 Gms
Maida - 2 Tsp
Corn Flour - 4 Tsp
Salt - 1/2 Tsp
Pepper
Red Chilli Powder - 1 Tsp
Water
Oil For Deep Fry
To Make Paneer Manchurian
Oil - 3 Tsp
Garlic - 1 Tbsp
Ginger - 1 Tbsp
Onion - 1 No.
Chilli Powder - 2 Tsp
Tomato Ketchup - 1/2 Cup
Soy Sauce - 2 Tsp
Water
Corn Flour Slurry - 1/2 Cup
Spring Onion Whites
Spring Onion Greens
Method:
1. Cut the paneer vertically into sticks and keep them aside.
2. Take maida, corn flour, salt, pepper powder, red chilli powder in a bowl and mix well.
3. Gradually add water to this mixture and prepare the batter.
4. Add paneer sticks to the batter and make sure it coats them completely.
5. Pour enough oil in a kadai for deep frying the paneer pieces. Heat it.
6. Gently drop the coated paneer sticks into the kadai and fry the paneer pieces for a few seconds on a medium high flame and remove them. Keep the fried paneer aside.
7. Take oil in a wide pan and add chopped garlic, ginger and onions. Saute for 3 mins.
8. Add red chilli powder and pepper powder. Mix well and add tomato ketchup along with soya sauce.
9. Give it a nice mix and add water. Cook for a minute.
10. Add 1/2 cup of corn flour mixture made with 1 tsp corn flour and water. Mix well and cook for a minute again.
11. Now add in the fried paneer pieces and give it all a nice mix.
12. Finally add the chopped spring onion whites and greens.
13. Irresistible Paneer Manchurian is ready to be served hot.
