Mmm and I hope one of those two guys can ask me onto their show for a live respectable debate. Because there’s nothing defensible about anything this manager has done given the circumstances. He’s made players worse. He’s paid to let talented players leave for free, while overpaying for unworthy players on crazy wages who just end up leaving for a loss later, and if they haven’t left, he’ll either shun them from the club until they leave for free or he intently whittles down their actual value so we can’t sell them. He ignores entire aspects of the team. He builds both the team and the tactics in HIS IMAGE RATHER THAN THE TALENTS AND SKILSL OF THE PLAYERS WHO ACTUALLY PLAY, he consistently plays the best players out of position which in turn is a detriment to multiple positions rather than none, and in those cases he’s frequently shunned the best possible option…why?? Because he doesn’t like him. Ex: how many times have we needed a good defensive LB who can effectively overlap for Martinelli down the wing and provide an outlet on attack?? Basically every match ever. Who’s the best LB who can do that on the team? KIERAN TIERNEY. A guy many of us thought could be a future captain. He never was dropped for lack of form. Just bc he got injured. Then when he got healthy, Arteta for no reason shunned him and sent him away, then (CONFIRMED) faked an injury to keep him away, all while he kept pushing out far inferior players when he was perfectly capable of doing the best job. Why? Because Arteta was more important than the team. So I know I went off on a tangent, but it’s just proof that none of these Arteta apologists or excuse laden youtubers really have any answers for the truth. Because there truly is no answer for anything I’ve brought up, and that’s not even half of the specific issues this manager and the last 5 years have caused. I've always appreciated what Arteta has done to get us into this position but my opinion has always been he may not be the guy to get us over the line, which is not saying he is a rubbish manager, he has done well to get us to this point, which there is nothing wrong with that. Brendan Rodgers did a good job with Liverpool, Klopp just took them to the next level. We look like we have started to regress, and the players are starting to regress under him, Martinelli, Rice, Trossard, Jesus, etc, all have regressed. The question to ask ourselves is HOW DO YOU DEFINE SUCCESS?? Is it in terms of stats and goals scored and “progressing”? Or is it defined by trophies, silverware, and winning? Because the former is what mid-table average level clubs answer. The latter is the ONLY answer for top tier, first class franchises with standards that reflect such. Therefore, any fans who can honestly say Arteta has been successful at this club clearly don’t have the same standards that are of the level of a top European club. He has been an utter failure of a manager for Arsenal. No trophies after getting almost a billion pounds and 5+ years. (That FA Cup isn’t his; not his team, not his players, not his system, he got rid of them all first chance he had). Thing is Martinelli is drilled to be a systematic player by arteta rather then free flowing and is abit more conservative when it comes from defending then going to attack hence why the attack is nor as good

Sad that fans don't attribute Martinelli's performance to change in Manager's tactics and it's the manager we should be directing our frustration. When we play free flowing attacking Martinelli thrives and when we try this slow methodical possession based football it affects our overall performance and also our standing in the EPL table. For me it's simple to get rid of the manager and get an elite Manager who will assess and get the remaining pieces to finally win the big trophies.
