@@kevingates8339the move to the Emirates ruined the process of the club. Financially they couldn’t spend big and they couldn’t pay high wages. It was at a time when Chelsea came with their money and they changed the league and could attract players over Man U and Arsenal.

Can you say the last decade of his reign was a success? He failed to adapt further and stayed in his lane tactically and it stagnated massively. They never got a near a title in that time. His rebuilds were never quite good enough after the first couple of squads.

Truth is it was extremely close to being beaten the season after by a fresh Chelsea squad with a new manager. Only stopped by a controversial penalty. Yes they didn’t manage it, but it does dampen the whole thing when the year season as a team almost achieved the exact same thing

The last ten years or so of his reign, he can very much be considered a failure as they failed to get near a league title and won the odd cup at best. He just couldn't rebuild and failed to adapt to a changing game like most managers do. It shows you how good Fergie actually was. He constantly rebuilt squads that won trophies. His tactics changed and he identified when it was needed. Even Mourinho found himself a little outdated and Pep will probably go that way too.

Wenger definitely not a failure, the issue was that Kroneke dulled a lot of Wenger's genius in picking players or having to work under conditions that impacted him. I don't buy into this "manager can be outdated with modern football" garbage. They can adapt if allowed to or have to.

Yup, Wenger was a winner who then decided to sacrifice winning in order to build and grow a club, taking it to the next level. He was told that he wouldn't be able to spend money, and then was told that he had to sell players every year to sustain the inflated costs of building the stadium. He did the job superbly, there's absolutely nothing wrong with that. He became a legend revered by all Arsenal fans as a result
