Climb DTU brings to you “Research Saturday”, a panel discussion where four incredible women who got selected for some highly competitive and converted scholarships namely “DAAD-Wise”, “Mitacs- Globalink” , “Microsoft Research Internship”, “SN Bose Scholarship” and “RISS Scholarship”, to guide you through every nook and corner between deadlines to letter of recommendations!
The fifth video of the series tells us about how the speakers approached the professors to seek the research internships. The speakers gave effective tips on maximizing the conversions.
Speakers of the panel included :
Mansi Aggarwal , a computer engineering undergraduate student of DTU. She has received S.N. Bose Scholarship. She is also a Robotics Institute Summer Scholar (RISS) at Carnegie Mellon University, USA and an intern at NUS, Singapore and IIT Delhi.She is an active member of MIDAS Lab at IIIT Delhi and also an AI enthusiast
Ayushi Srivastava , a fourth year student at IIIT Delhi. She is a part of Inclusive Design research at Melange Lab, IIIT Delhi. She bagged an internship at Microsoft Research. She has also worked in the domain of HCI4D at Technology for Emerging Markets
Kashvi Srivastava , an alumnus of DTU, was the department topper in Mathematics and Computing. Now an incoming PhD student in Applied Mathematics at the University of Michigan, she was a research intern at University of British Columbia after bagging the prestigious Mitacs Globalink Research Scholar.
Gargi Balasubramaniam , a Computer Science (’20) Graduate from BITS Pilani, Goa. Currently, she is a software engineer at Microsoft. In the summers of 2019, she was a DAAD Scholar at the Technical University of Munich, Germany. Based on this work, she presented her paper at ASE 2019, San Diego, California and stood third in the ACM Student Research Competition. She was also offered the MITACS Globalink Scholarship.
