Hato would be the best option because he might become the starting leftback this season but he can also cover as center back for Van Dijk, an area where I can also see Liverpool needing another player. If Van Dijk AND Konaté go down with injuries then Quansah and Gomez have to play and I dont think thats comfortable. So with Hato in January Liverpool would solve two problems with one player on the short and long term

I feel like we are at risk of selling our entire squad next summer. Obviously we won't. But i feel most of the squad wants to leave for one reason or another. I just think if Trent goes it will be good to keep some of that leadership qualities. Alisson is at risk, obviously the 3 most spoken about haven't signed contracts. Robbo is definitely underperforming, but he's no moreno. He's still reliable and is more than capable of doing it at the top for at least one more season. But if we have to get back up sell tsimikas and get kerkez or alt nouri to share the spot for a year.

There's also problems with the wages Davies would be on, FSG don't really like spending massive amounts of money on wages and I think Davies would be demanding a big sum. I really like Robinson from what I've seen and just like you I haven't seen enough of Kerkez to make up my mind on him. Age wise I like Kerkez, ability wise I like Davies, and all around I would prefer Robinson, even though he's a bit older than the other 2.

With Gravenberch being so good rn and Robertson not looking as good as he has in previous years, LB looks like the position to focus on. I agree that it would be great to have a back up to Gravenberch since Endo is already 31 years old and Bajcetic looking like he might not really get the chance to get in the team, but if we are thinking of improvements to the starting line up, then the LB position is the one most in need of improvement.

Robinson doesn't fit the age profile. Especially not with Klopp gone and Edwards back. Kerkez and Davies are more likely. Given Hughes' history with Bournemouth, Kerkez looks the more likely. Plus there's proven EPL experience. Davies has the edge transfer fee-wise though.

Kerkez looks like the most likely option, but Robinson's transfer fee wouldn't be massive and he is premier league proven as well.

I think his ability defensively is the reason he's not on the list, he's very good going forward and he is really young, but defensively he hasn't been good. I like Robinson and Kerkez, Robinson has shown to be good both going forward and defensively and Kerkez has also been great for Bournmouth this season. I haven't seen as much of Kerkez as the other 2, but from what I've seen he's been very impressive, he's also 2 years younger than Ait-Nouri which is an added bonus.

Davies is a comparatively poor defender and relies way too often on his pace. That works now, but one serious injury will take that away and the wear and tear of playing in the PL will certainly speed up his physical decline. I‘d rather ease Kerkez in to the starting lineup
