I have, of course, heard of the Bronzo, but I was put off because I thought it would eventually completely corrode. I had no idea that bronze was such a hard metal, and that it merely oxidizes to an incredible patina like this. Now I truly understand the reverence for the Bronzo. Thanks for educating me OJ, your best vid I reckon.

OJ's going to be thrilled to read that. He's pretty quiet on these comment threads, but he reads all of them. Thank you! Best, Tim

I wish more companies would use bronze. It's so awesome!

True, Panerai started something with this model. Many have duplicated the material, but even the later bronze effort from Panerai didn't quite recapture the magic of the PAM 382. It's exceptional. Best, Tim

As a coin collector who has bronze coins from 300 BC I can say to you to always keep an eye on these verdigris spots. They can evolve to corrode the bronze alloy.

It's exceptionally thick in the interest of preventing this kind of outcome. I've never seen a Bronzo (PAM 382 or 507) reach the point of actual degradation. Best, Tim

Bronze is good against corrosion in salt water once a patina has developed but can just erode away with chemicals and oxygen (air) contact

Damn OJ you mean! You might as well start a series called "watch you want but can't have".

Nice, kinda steampunk...

It's definitely that. I think it's actually a better Jules Verne reference than the actual Panerai PAM 216 "Jules Verne." Best, Tim
