It would be very cool if you had control over wind, how often it changes, how much or 3 different speeds, but also having constant wind in horizon or vertical directions. Some people say there aren't a reason to make Mario Maker 3, but imo there are still plenty of untapped potential.

a few D: in chat at 10:32 19:29: "sun excavation", which is a fun concept! Personally, the wind and dark levels can make interesting challenges, but it's unfortunate that the wind cannot be changed and that you are stuck with the game style's default.

I don't hate the wind as you do (though it being desynced from the visual is dumb), but I never knew the direction and timing was tied to the theme. I can't fathom why they would do it that way instead of making it customizable. That definitely should change in MM3

It is super annoying that you cannot customize the wind. Most of the time it just makes levels worse.

To be fair, desert theme night mode... that's basically it. The wind. You take away the wind, there isn't much else that night theme adds (the moon? I think that's it). Which means they need to add more. I feel like they used up all the good ideas with ground theme and then gave up.
