When you get those, line up the blind jumps with the background shapes.

Alternatively, when he successfully dropped on the pipe, the other pipes were at the very left side of the screen. This means that before jumping, he could also figure out that the target pipe would be just on his screen's right side, and then use the pipe he's jumping from as a ruler to figure out how far he's currently in his jump. This would also works for levels in the smb1 cave style, where the background is just a static color

Also, Japan has the most advanced earthquake detection systems in the world, and TVs and radios are required by law to power on automatically (Japan's digital TV broadcast system, ISDB-T, has such technology) should an earthquake occur. Bullet trains can stop and cut power in the event of an earthquake. But that level gives me a bad feeling. I read all those Nico Nico comments from March 11, 2011, and it made me feel haunted for days (I'm not kidding.) People were graduating from high school that day, only for many of them to perish hours (or sometimes minutes) later. EDIT 2021-03-15: A Magnitude 4.8 earthquake did strike Japan yesterday, and it interrupted the finale of Attack on Titan.

Last level, you weren't "supposed" to hit the boxes, they were there as a dev exit path to get out. Seems they didn't test their level at all to see if you could actually get the height needed, though.
