Tom, welcome. You are officially a sinner now. I would like to answer some of your questions. 1. Brendon Urie is completely underrated. He’s the king and that’s all. 2. You can say Panic! At the disco or Brendon Urie interchangeably. 3. No, there is literally nothing Brendon can not sing. Literally nothing. This album is amazing and I love how you said it changed you. Same for me. You really need to listen to all the albums. They all sound so different. My personal favorites that you need to listen too are Vices and Virtues and Too Weird to Live and Too Rare to Die. There is so much Panic! content you need to see/hear. The albums, the videos, the short film. We will be (not so) patiently waiting.

It's nice to watch someone have the exact same reaction I did listening to this album for the first time. DOAB was my first Panic! album since I heard the one single "I Write Sins Not Tragedies" off their first album (A Fever You Can't Sweat Out) in 2005. I was skeptical because I thought Sins was overplayed, but as soon as I heard the opening verse of Victorious, I was hooked. (Edit: he was the drummer in his middle school jazz band, which explains a lot of why the drum parts are so intensely catchy and technical.)

Do yourself a huge favor and watch the videos from this album. The Don't Threaten Me video is just classic Panic!, like seriously. The LA Devotee video came after the vid for Emperor's New Clothes, and (if I'm not mistaken) is the first time we see the new P!atD symbol used (the triangle with the three circles and the ! in the center). My fav Panic! albums at Too Weird to Live, Too Rare to Die, followed by Vices & Virtues. I would highly recommend giving either of those a listen, because they are *chef kiss* perfection.

The difference between Brendon Urie and Panic! at the Disco is that Brendon was/is a MEMBER of Panic! at the Disco. P!ATD was formed around 15 years ago and Brendon was an original member of the band. After their second album, the band split up, leaving only two original members in it. After their third album, Brendon was the only official member left, as the rest of the band usually only came on as tour musicians. Brendon is still called Panic! at the Disco because he continued performing under the same name! Hope that was helpful!
