From the way they're acting and talking and always bringing up being at Ryan's house which seems to be a sign of true friendship as he only had them, what was the true reason for the break up? The musical and creative differences does make sense when you listen to Vices and Virtues and Take a Vacation! but even then there had to be something else. In this interview, it was completely evident that they had truly become the band that they had meant to become.

Yeah and they don't talk anymore like Brendon said he hadn't talked to Ryan for years

Billiethepineapple that's what makes me so sad. I feel like Ry plays that he's so happy but really isn't.

They split up because of creative differences. Brendon and Ryan aren't as close but have met up before and randomly just text each other sometimes. Jon and Spencer have met once though.

Seeing this makes me question the whole 'musical and creative differences' thing that led to their split..

It's equal parts amusing and heartbreaking to see comments from the time of the split, and they way that the poor fans thought it couldn't get any worse. But no, fellow fangirls - you will get another album, and a new member, and then another album, and then everyone. fuckin. leaves Apart from Brendon

@Twilette92 I think they did the same songs that are on the first record, only Ryan was singing them. They didn't write new songs for Brendon, but he sung instead of playing an instrument, that's all.

This is such a perfect beautiful album. Kinda funny how critics reviews of AFYCSO was meh @ the time & reviews for Pretty Odd were positive but for fans it was the opposite. I feel like the fans cold reaction 2 it's 75% of what caused them 2 want 2 go in opposite artistic directions. Just like how after Folie, FOB took a hiatus. Brendan & Spencer obviously wanted 2 return to the AFYCSO sound 2 appease fans & the label, but Ryan & Jon said eff #s, they wanted 2 make music they loved. But funny thing is I think album #3 would of sold better no matter what it sounded like if it had been the entire band & eventually they would of gained a new following for the new style. But still they shoulda been able 2 find a middle ground. They made the biggest mistake of their lives splitting up. Had Brendan changed 2 Brendan Urie after V&V they would have been more likely 2 get back together BUT NO now b/c of naive teens & radio P!ATD is seen as a pop solo artist & Brendan's ego's through the roof. I miss the real & original P!ATD. Brendan has real nerve thinking he had the right 2 continue w/ P!ATD w/only 1/4 of the members & NOT being the bands founder. Truly blows my mind. & He still calls himself "the band". 🤨🙄😤 Definition of a band is 3 or more members that play instruments. 110% shameless, tactless, & egotystical decision.

i've listened to all of these tracks, ang being an avid Beatles fan, they pretty much directly taken beats, progressions, intsrumentation, from actual Beatles songs. Even their videos are really Beatleslike. There is a track on this album that has the exact same instrumentals as the song Get Back. The song Nine in the Afternoon begins exactly like the 'woke up got out of bed' part in A Day In The Life. I'm not saying that this group is bad... but they shouldnt just copy the Beatles style.

Delete this ignorant comment. The two songs you compared have completely different chord progressions and the Beatles can’t be the only people allowed to smack piano chords like that. (ELO does something similar sounding in Mr. blue sky)
