@RachelPearcyArt2 ай бұрын
Smiling lifts the upper pallet so you can reach higher notes but you almost have to smile singing this song. It helps somehow. I don't think he looked unhappy, just regular Jon performing.
@joeyverliesharen3 жыл бұрын
"just me singing someone else's song" Don't discredit your own work like that. It takes talent to turn a song into a different genre, not to mention personal touches added to the song ("Do you wanna build a snowman?" comes to mind) Your original songs show more of your talent, but that doesn't mean that the covers don't show any talent.
@Scrofar3 жыл бұрын
Sadly, the grind and pressure to stay on top of your game across social media is tough enough for anyone trying to pave their own paths. Covers and fan-catered work put food on the table, but originals can a hard hit or miss because of the audience or whomever happens to click on the vid, esp if it doesnt immediately light up the brain with the promise of their favorite song bring covered.
@jonathanymusic3 жыл бұрын
I don't want to sound rude or anything but my weekly covers only take me a couple of hours to make. One original often takes 100x more work. In terms of passion & work I invest they couldn't be further away from each other. It's like the difference between tracing someone else's drawing and changing the colors a little versus designing a completely new painting.
@mrjoey943 жыл бұрын

Jonathan Young, ever since Bait I've been noticing what songs you put your heart and soul into. You put all your dedication into everything you do. This is obvious. But one can hear which songs drain you and which fire you up. No matter how you feel about your covers. I fully enjoy every aspect of your music. And whether they're someone else's song or yours... Your talent is obvious and amazing. And you manage to take every song you do and turn it entirely into your own... I still can't get over how you took Wonderwall and turned it into a mid-paced punk rock song. Multitalent keyboard, bass, drummer, guitar, producer and that voice of yours... Just fucking brilliant.
