I've asked him in chat about The Dance of Eternity before, he basically responded that he's attempted it but knows it's beyond what he can improvise on stream, though I have no doubt if he ever sat down to learn it he'd nail it.

Panic Attack... man, what is to say about this song... This was my first Dream Theater song and man, was I blown away! I wanted to hear more of that, so I looked them up, and boy, am I glad I did! I found one of my favorite bands of all time, and I have Rock Band 2 to thank for that. In a game full of awesome songs, like Lazy Eye, The Trees, My Own Worst Enemy, and so many more, this one was my favorite by a landslide, simply because of how hard it goes! You showed it too.

Speaking of Rock Band, that game taught me to play actual drums! Not especially well, but once I realized what pads related to each part of an actual kit, I realized I could play full songs once I memorized the chart

I basically learned to play from rock Band too. If you have an e drum kit theres a game called Drummania thats basically Japanese full drum kit Rock Band. Most Rock Band songs have been converted to full kit play for that exact reason.

Looking back, it was thanks to a bud of mine, during the Halo 5 days on the Xbone, that an online bud of mine there introduced me to Dream Theater and progressive metal rock in general. Without him, I wouldn’t have listened to Sabaton, Nightwish, and wouldn’t explored other music genres.
