"I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast. And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him? And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies"
yeah,we all saw it.

anton alfred newcombe/fjordson - Captured Live on Ustream at www.ustream.tv/... be sure to tune into DEAD TV LIVE: www.dead.is Kali Yuga: In this age of corruption rulers are said to turn from their noble duties and become that of plunderers levying unreasonable taxes. Some texts even speak of cannibalism by the rulers, there victims primarily being the last true righteous on the Earth. The Vipras or Brahmins gradually lose control over the people. Interest in the spiritual world will cease and focus primarily on the material world becoming godless. Greed and wrath will become common where open displays of animosity and even murder are not seen as wrong or immoral. Sin will increase and while virtue fades away out of the memory of men. Men take little pride in their jobs and the caste system breaks down. Men are considered pious only if they are wealthy.

This was the first ever BJM song I'd listened to - courtesy a good friend of mine. I can't thank her enough for introducing me to this universe. I remember, 6 years ago, backpacking across Europe for 3 months and having BJM as the soundtrack, while I hiked through mountains, sat beside a river/lake, ambled along cobblestoned streets, and wrote in my journal - with a flask of Jagermeister on my hip. Seems like a lifetime ago.

This song is very fittingly apocalyptic. Like a chaos that unleashed throughout a long period of time and it's coming to its end. The end of the song makes me think of paradise restored. It's like a feverish dream and the you wake up early in the morning sweating and confused but feeling at the same time relieved becuase you are back to your reality and everything is good again. I love it!

Anton gets it. As we approach the end of the Kali Yuga, the chaos intensifies - but so does the lightness and joy, for those of us who will co-create in this new world feel it in every atom of our being. Thank you Anton for all this timeless music you keep on giving.

You know what, I'm really envious of people who has easy access to psychedelics. Living in a part of world where these substances are highly unaccessable and has serious consequences, I think it is a sin that some of us are robbed of our chance of illumination and discovering what the essence of this life is via psychedelics. I tried some of them though, to my luck. I just had the chance to see from a small opening of a big door which opens to an enormous world of peace and awakening of the soul. I love your music Anton, it kind of provides me the effects of these substances. You are truly a remarkble man and I feel that you are wishing for the best for people like me.

Straight up and down was the theme to Boardwalk Empire, and a few other songs appeared in other tv and film soundtracks. Slowly, BJM will burrow into the public subconscious. They're a true inspiration, such talent and originality, especially from Anton himself. The way I see it, BJM are not meant to be compared to pop culture music, but rather to rock and roll legend and myth. Though they will always have die hard fans.
