It still boggles my mind that Nintendo games can be that expensive. I know it's been a long time, but to me it still feels like yesterday you'd see tables at flea markets overflowing with them for less than a dollar or if you bought one the seller would just throw in another game for free because they couldn't get rid of them and were grateful you were interested at all.
@ThunderFist19787 жыл бұрын
I can't believe I never commented on this before now! I have owned this game since 1996 and have always liked it. I read about it in Nintendo Power in July of 1992 and called Nintendo numerous times over the months that followed asking when it was going to be released. When it finally came out, I made a trip to the local video store, rented this game and got hooked right away. It seemed like a really interesting game when I read about it, and I always have a good time when I pop Panic Restaurant in my NES.

I used to like to rent this game from the local video stores back in the 90s. I got lucky in 1996 when I was able to buy a copy from one of the rental stores in town for $5.95 It has the manual with it, but instead of a box it came in a rental case with a cut up box in the sleeve. Still a great price for a gem like this.

It's amazing how in the Japanese version, the hero is a young chef, yet turned into an old man for the western release. I like the game, but I'll stick to playing it in emulation. I love Taito, but there's a breaking point on how much I'll pay for a game.
