@cionalettcc7504 жыл бұрын
I don't think so but it's okay, I respect your opinion anyway
@squalooceano22914 жыл бұрын
No it’s not really better than Father Of All. Panicland is relying a little to heavily on digital synthesizing and overharmonizing. The melodies are all over the place as well. Father Of All is extremely short and isn’t an amazing album by any means, but it has a focused sound and identity with some great songs in there. I will say though, overall these Panicland songs do have one thing going for them, a couple of their songs have pretty well written lyrics and some clever lines every once in a while, which happens to be Father Of All’s weakest asset.
@cionalettcc7504 жыл бұрын
@@squalooceano2291 I agree with you about the synthesized music of Panicland, that is in literally every song they made till now. But I think that Father of All is a good album just beacuse is short and with that type of sound and rythm that Green Day never used that much. About the lyrics, you're right, Panicland songs are pretty good under that point. But try to see the FoA's lyrics as a background, as the story behind American Idiot, as what Jimmy did and where he lived. Also beacuse the original name of the album was American Idiot part 2, so, they're quite bound. In syntesis, I think that Father of All is good beacuse is something new by Green Day, they're not the songs we expected. But it's my opinion, I'm really curious 'bout what you'll answer, if you want to. (Anyway, r u italian)
@squalooceano22914 жыл бұрын
Cionale ttcc good point, no I’m not Italian. I just like the name.
@Atari-Dude4 жыл бұрын
I agree, Father of All is just soulless stuff... All sounds the same to me, while each Panicland Magnum Opus song has been unique so far, and what's wrong with overharmonizing? _Green Day used to always do it, as did other great bands like ELO._ At this point if that's the worse thing with them, having production, then there's nothing wrong with them in my book 👍

This is probably kinda strange, but (coming from someone who's musically inept in terms of music theory and all that other than just what I hear) I actually get some ELO vibes from this. I admittedly don't listen to that much Green Day, like probably most of what the sound is you're going for here... but the strings and backing vocals are quite ELO-esque in my opinion. Hey maybe that can be your guys next project 😁
@Betapvnk4 жыл бұрын
Atari-Dude 1 yeah, ELO and Queen were very into the harmonic back vocals, I definitely hear it. Sadly music doesn’t really have it as much anymore.
