Apologies for being late to the party but I really enjoyed this video, nicely put together and learned a lot, thank you. This procedure looks like it could well apply to my 1199S, I’ll maybe give it a try. Thanks again, subscribed

Thx John, I’m glad I was able to help. The 1199 will be a very similar process.

20-25Nm for all of those rear set bolts. Service manual calls for 25NM, I will get it in that range plus or minus 5-10% depending on feel as you tighten. But atet is the spec from Ducati

It’s getting close!! So I don’t know Ducati torque specs at all but in AZ there is a hardware supply company called Copper State and they have a chart that gives general torque specs depending on size and material of the hardware. It should be universal-ish I assume

Did you add any loctite back to the front sprocket bolt?
@ESBKLife Жыл бұрын
I didn't. The OE bolt that I removed didn't have any thread locker, so I didn't add any. Having said that, it doesn't mean you shouldn't. I think I still have a digital copy of the service manual. I'll see if there's anything in there for adding thread locker to that bolt.

Did you do anything special to protect the wheel/sprocket nuts during torquing? I have a black set for my MV Agusta F3 but I feel like they are going to get chewed up on the first torque down.
@ESBKLife Жыл бұрын
There are several things you can do to protect the wheel nut. I've had mixed results with them all. You can use, paper towels, tape, a plastic baggie, etc. But the key is 1) never use an impact tool and 2) your socket should be the same material or softer than the nut. If the socket material is harder than the nut, the nut will be damaged. So if the nut is Ti, try to find a Ti socket or aluminum socket. The downside with using a socket with a softer material is, that it will wear out faster and will need to be replaced more frequently.

What cameras do you use may I ask 🙏🏾

Sorry for the late reply. I haven't done much with the channel lately. Been busy with other stuff. Anyway, I typically put my camera equipment in the description. But apparently, I didn't this time. Sorry about that. I have several that I use. For this video, I was using my Gopro Hero 7 Black and my Sony A6000 Mirrorless camera. Sorry, I don't recall the lens I was using. I was also using a Zoom F1 audio recording but clearly, I was having issues LOL. It typically works really well. Having said that I have since sold and upgraded Sony as well as added a second GoPro. I currently shoot with - Panasonic Lumix S5II - GoPro Hero 7 & 10 Black - Insta360 One X2 and Go2

Is 520 chain pitch worth it ? My type of riding is weekends track days occasionally.
@ESBKLife2 жыл бұрын
Yes. It’s lighter and allows the bike to spin up faster.

Hi! How many links for the chain?ty
@ESBKLife Жыл бұрын
Unless you are running the same swingarm length and front and rear sprocket tooth count as me, my chain link count/length will be irrelevant to you. I typically count my existing chain links and then get a chain with more links. Depending on my goals, I can remove the links that I don't want. But for reference, I'm currently running a 114-link chain on the V4 Panigale.
