New GPU wont give you better performance, it Will give you something called bottleneck which is the real opposite of performance, u should go for some CPU first And then look for some price/perf maybe mid end GPU which ain't overkill like why would u buy some 3090 or 3080 Ti when u can save money on something like rtx 2080, i'd personally go for 5600G which has dedicated GPU So you can play Csgo at+- 300-350 fps which Is totally fine

@@retr0.1337 Bro hold on a sec, you cannot jump to instant conclusions with getting a new GPU being bad. To clarify on this, a bottleneck only occurs when the CPU is not as powerful as the GPU therefore not having the proper output capabilities as the GPU does. So what really happens is that the CPU holds the GPU back from the performance it can make. Without knowing what the CPU is you cannot say that it will bottleneck. For example, if I had a 11th gen intel processor and had a RTX 2080 and I upgrade to a 3090 I can do that because my CPU has the proper power to back up the 3090 therefore these 2 components work properly together. Please understand and gain proper knowledge on the things you are talking about then try to advice other people.

You don't need an amazing cpu to get to 240 fps howeverr in Apex you will need and amazing GPU to reach those numbers.

@@vakke591 Yea, when I had a gtx1050, it had to be overclocked and had to change apex config file to queeze every drop of fps I get. But do keep in mind though, if you do this, your visuals will get pretty bad even if you are on a high resolution. You won't be able to see pass 10m actually. So it's best if you try and fight cqb, but long range? Not so much unless you have a 2x sight or better.

For people with a crammed OS drive/C drive: Go in and *search* for things that can be in other drives. This will clear up *so much space* and you will be able to move the (almost 100 gb install) apex game files to your C drive. And by "search" I mean *search*. It took me around 10 minutes to delete things I'm not using at all anymore and I'm moving most of the things I can have on my game drive, to that drive. Hope this helps!

Changing gpu settings through windows options is useless, because it only help if you're on a laptop: laptops have integrated and discrete GPU so Power Saving uses integrated one to lower the battery drain and high performance uses discrete one for better performance.

@@xfalsesoulsxx7560 try image scaling, enable it on nvidia control panel global settings, when in game set your display res to a lower res of 1080p, this upscales lower resolutions to not look as bad as they normally would and it boosted my fps by 20 to 40, my rig is different though so your milage may vary

I wouldn't mess with override high dpi settings. If checked, overriding will put more stress on your CPU and add micro stutters. Also it changes your sens, so if you use aim trainers it won't match up to ur game settings if you have override high dpi settings enabled

Before you do this trick, keep in mind that it does in fact boost fps. However it will make textures look really mushy and bad and make everything look very low quality. I would only suggest this for very low end PCs/laptops, their are cfg tutorials online that still give you more fps than you originally have but don't make characters and weapon skins look very very low quality. Only use these cfg settings if you don't mind very low quality meshes or have a very low end system, but that's just my pov.

Absolutely fantastic guide. Was using the adaptive resolution and max settings with a 1080ti and along with a blurry screen (due to adaptive res) I was at about 110. After this the game feels more vibrant, and I get crisp images with 240fps indoors and near places like loot sphincter and 110 at max height with Valk. Did leave texture res at insane and I honestly cant see a downside. Fantastic video

Makes the mouse send info directly to your game. But I'd recommend not turning it on. If you're using AimLab or kovaak's, or want your aim to be the same as in other games. Just translate the sensitivity from a sens calc instead.

Hey man! Amazing video. You really helped me out with performance issues. With that being said, there are a few key issues I've ran into over using these files. 1) The config files set your graphic settings to the lowest possible (besides model detail), which is the best for FPS. However if you want to go higher, that's an issue, and there are so many settings in the configs that are specific that I could not figure out how to set it to another graphic preset. So I am gonna live with low settings, which is fine. 2) This defaults to 50 percent brightness, which is quite terrible. I prefer 60. If you want to get around that range, change this code in the videoconfig.txt: settings.gamma should be set to 0.860714 not 1.00000 for 60 percent brightness. Play around with values in there if you wish to change it. 3) Shadows. In the videocfg you have provided, it does turn off shadows. that particular code is setting.csm_enabled, which is set to 0 (1 is on, 0 is off.) after applying the videocfg settings, save and PLEASE set the file to "read only". that saves a lot of launch issues. HUGE NOTE: if you change ANY video setting while in-game, the shadows will TURN BACK ON, forced by the game. If you have it on read only, it will turn shadows off if you re-launch the game. So just don't change ANY video settings after applying the tweaks. 4) Micro-stutters. I am not sure if this has been fixed or not, but instead of setting fps max 0 in the launch options (no frame cap) I changed the 0 to 190, which supposedly has no stutters. Can confirm, my game is butter smooth now. 5) if for whatever reason your crossair is going back to default red, white or black, its because you still have the launch options crosshair setting. Now you cannot have values over 255 or under 0. So I recommend deleting that line in launch options. 6) the settings.cfg has all perfect settings BESIDES 2 of them, which come down to preference. First is the minimap rotation, which is "on". I do not like that setting, so to change it all you need to do is go into change the autoexec file, the command hud_setting_minimapRotate "1" and change it to 0. that should turn it off by default. I have yet to find out how to set pings to normal and not faided yet. Anyways that is what helped me! again, great video!

you shouldnt cap the fps in launch options for more smoothness its better to leave the fps cap to your GPU, the best way to do this is to set it to fps_max 0 in launch options and cap fps in the control panel for whatever driver you use ie Nvidia Control Panel

Great guide for FPS but here are some warnings for you: 1. ALL YOUR SETTINGS WILL BE RESET SO REMEMBER WHAT THEY ARE 2. I am making a request for an intel uhd graphics boost for apes legends, covering all the small things us low end gamers can do to improve our fps in game, i currently get 40fps average, but i would like to get more, by any means necessary, i have a i5 1035G1 8GB RAM DDR4 Intel UHD with 128MB VRAM and a 256GB NVMe SSD One last question, is there any way to force a VRAM increase? I have trued from the BIOS and other places in settings yet nothing seems to change… thank you!

Be weary when doing this, it changes literally all of your settings to settings he thinks are the best, including combat bindings. Really should've stated that in the video man, a lot of people would do this thinking its graphic settings and you just changed all their bindings

Yeah I have zero clue why he included his settings.cfg considering nothing in there improves anything, I also don't understand why he didn't warn about the display resolution in the videoconfig file, some may not have that resolution as a compatible one with their display or refresh rate.

Not trying to be a naysayer here; but I tried these steps and ended up having to reset my PC. I'm not sure what happened. But it did not improve gameplay/ made it bery janky. And I had to reset my PC last night because my 16gb ram I7-4770 suddenly became the slowest machine alive and wouldnt even open documents.

@@LuvDrake I have 16gb ram, an old i5 and rtx 2070, with that I run from 100 to 140 fps, if I enable image scaling I can increase that range from 120 to 170 ish, I also run the game with the launch command -high because my cpu limits my gpu by a lot.

Awesome Video! I used this guide, turned off memory compression, reinstalled my driver the correct way, and disabled gamebar (rename gamebar video), and it was amazing! I had really good FPS on Apex back in Season 9, around 110 or so when going around the map, but now it was around 80 max, and around 180 in the lobby (lobby not as important ofc but just to say this) After all of this, I am getting around 140 to 160 FPS all the time, and in the lobby I am getting 299 which is the max engine cap I believe, thank you so much my guy, I've been looking to fix Apex for a while now
