Amazing. In 1972, there were 2.5 billion people in the world, and the average life expectancy was 72. Now it's 9 billion, and the age is 79.

Well, perhaps so - I recall that we had one (purchased by Mom and Dad) around 1970 - it lasted until about the year 2000. That old expression, "They don't make them like they used to" is entirely true. It's now (for appliances) all about planned obsolescence - after maybe 7 or 8 years.

Ann Margret has a height of 5'4" to 5'5" depending on the source. She was probably 5 feet tall when she was 12 but she was definitely taller than that in 1971

Does anyone know how far away the game board was from the contestants?

Based on studio pics that I have seen, it was around 25 feet. The platform that Peter and the contestants were on was on a 4 foot riser, and they had their backs to the audience.
