Great Metallica choice to cover back in those days. Darrell (as usual) just shreds it to shit effortlessly. Also - on this one the camera guy zoomed in midway through, got some cool shots of each band member.

You have to remember and take into account that Dave Mustaine's songwriting is all over Kill em all. Metallica's sound and style changed with ride the lightning and Master. Even though I can't stand MegaDave. There is a good reason he was so successful. Specially with Junior, Friedman, Menza. Before his ego took over. Pantera is and has always been in a league of its own. Groove metal. Had Pantera stayed intact I have no doubt they would have surpassed Metallica. In all honesty if we are talking "speed metal" they lost that crown in 1990. Pantera came in and saved the genre when Metallica had a image crisis and were writing songs with old bags singing on them. "The memory remains " anyone? Metallica's last front to back great album was And Justice. Best? Master. Since they came back to their senses with Death Magnetic. They have had a couple above board songs every album to the most recent. Metallica lost its way when Cliff died.

But very cool guy, obviously, and here I am stumbling over my words but I asked if they were going to play Pussytight and Over and Out, and he said no, the new shit is out and the old shit is done with.
