Phil was in so much pain at this time, he had three ruptured discs in his back and to dull the pain he became addicted to painkillers, muscle relaxants, booze and heroin, not to mention he must have been full of anxiety and depression too. You can really hear his physical and emotional pain in his screams

I was only 12 when I first heard of Pantera, they blew me away rsoon as I heard them. Almost 30 years later and they still blow me away. It never gets old. Timeless.

This is, hands down, the best live performance of This Love ever recorded. Probably one of the best live performances ever.

My favorite screams are Bruce in NOTB, Tom Araya in Angel of Death, Corpsegrinder in Time To Kill is Now, 5 Nails Through the Neck and They Deserve to Die, but damn, Phil is AMAZING at the end of this one.

I agree with the other comment. A lot better than the studio version and with his heroin problem at that time. That pain made those screams.
