I had just moved away from Metairie, LA. exactly one year before this small venue gig took place. Lived on the North Shore only an hour away. Had just turned 14 & my momma wouldn't let me go. Step dad would have took me but he was out of town. I remember that shit like it was yesterday. Still saw them every single year afterward up until their break-up. RIP Dimebag & Vinnie Paul Abbott. Irreplaceable talents & genuinely good dudes. Gone but never forgotten

I remember this show. Haate and the Slugs opened up. Haate was incredible! Wish I could go back to this night (and other nights like it) for just a little while. So much better times, although we didn't realize how good they were back then. We just thought it would always be this way.

@louiselockett29052 жыл бұрын
I wrote a song about the last stop. It's a play on jukebox hero. He's a Last Stop Hero. He's got chalk on his hand. He's a Last Stop Hero. Where the boy becomes a man. Isn't it awful but still remember going there regularly. That and Dino's. Oh yeah I've seen a few shows at Zepplins back in the day.

@That667Guy15 жыл бұрын
Yeah, I'm livin there now, the punk scene supposedly is good down here, but it's bands that can't afford to aadvertise Other than that now that the good bands either moved up north or left Louisiana there's almost no metal scene here We have like 6 good metal bands (Demuredin, Marais Noir, Legions of Hoar Frost, Volatile, Ritual Killer, and Catholicon), but a ton (like almost over 20) of fuckin metalfail (metalcore) bands
@ShredstickMayhem15 жыл бұрын

What a waste Fat City has become. All the great places gone, no longer showcasing great acts such as this. Fat City was a mecca for original rock music. Now it is a mecca for Mexican culture. Fat City could be such a great entertainment capitol of Metairie, but the government has plans to turn it into some Disney-style shopping oasis. Why? We have a Walmart. What do we need another shopping area for?
