i live how phil never tries to sound exactly like the studio version instead he tries to give every little inch of himself into the song which is something not seem enough

Thank you for posting. I'll never forget. Media drops on Tuesdays. It was March 28th 1994. Far Beyond Driven was released and I saw them that Friday April 1, 1994 in San Antonio, TX. They opened up with Use My Third Arm then went right into Mouth For War!!! I still have my ticket stub!. Too bad the new generation did not have a chance to witness...

I was 14 years old - maybe 5 feet tall and 90 pounds when I saw them the first time on 4.20.94 in Chicago. They took forever to come out. Like an hour at least after the opener. Was in the middle of the floor and the lights just cut out and they go right into this. No intro. No light show. Nothing. Just furious brutality. I ran for my life. It was amazing.

I remember hearing and seeing this, no words can ever explain how we all felt and how above and beyond great pantera shows were, especially when Phil was in a good place. You could tell Phil was into death metal, he would always go a bit death metal style in parts of the songs.

When I saw Pantera w Sepultura at Great Woods this was the opening song. It was amazing. At the end of Sepultura a huge Pantera banner made up of fan banners given to the band all sewn together. After equipment change break the excitement is high, it’s been about 40 minutes since Sepultura. Heavy psychedelia playing, crowd goes insane, laser pot leaves spinning on the banner then BAM! This beast stars up and the banner drops. The crowd goes even MORE insane and they give a BRUTAL set. It’s an amazing way to open a Pantera set.
