Phil Anselmo has such a unique vocal style. He isn't singing but isn't really screaming. He's just kinda yelling. But it falls in weird places with regard to the music. It's like kind of thrash but kind of grunge. Interesting. Pantera is a great band and his singing makes it special I think.

One of my favourite metal songs. A Dimebag masterpiece. This is THE metal riff. Anselmo vocal line is awesome and all musicians are incredibles. In the 90s, we have bands like Death, Morbid Angel, Entombed Atheist, Dismember, Cannibal Corpse and other death and black metal bands who survived the 90s. Pantera saved the mainstream scene, but the metal scene was never dead to begin with.

But then again, if you listen to any metal, or music, or watch movies, from the early 90s it still holds its own easily today. 30 years from 1992 to 2022 is very different from 1962 to 1992. Despite the advancements in cellular phone technology and the Internet, a lot has plateaued or even declined since the 90s.
