That's not true at all. Serbs have trouble understanding Macedonian. Serbs, Croats and Bosnian Muslims don't understand Slovene (if they haven't lived there). For a current Serbian song which is popular, you have Russians thinking it is Ukrainian, while Ukrainians think it is Polish. So even neighboring Slavs often have trouble with other Slavic languages.

My dad was in Bosnia with NATO as a combat engineer. He doesn't talk much about it either. We recently moved house and we found loads of old stuff of his from then and he just told us to bin it before we could even finish asking if he wanted to keep it

Hey! Where did you take the battle sounds from? I'm especially interested in the shouts at the begining + radio conversations. (I'm making a mission for a video game and wanted to use them. :)
