I played last night (got a free key) and was not happy with the lack of development considering it has been over 10 years. It does not even have 1% of what EQ1 had when it first came out (before any expansions). The characters have no variety and all look the same. Brad failed twice already (Vanguard, and Pantheon) so I think he lacks the ability to put together a good team.

BTW, some things are completely stupid such as no vendors in the starting areas. If you make a dark race, it is nearly impossible to get to the main town during the first few levels. This means no vendors to sell to which means you can't buy your spells even if you farm the money. Also, the first quest takes you to, guess where, the main town. So you cannot complete that and start trade skills either. EQ1 had vendors in ALL areas when it first came out, so I fail to see how this makes any sense. Not sure why they are worried about balance issues when they do not have the basic content in place!

Dude, they basically started over 2 years ago from scratch. What you're seeing is 2 years of development. They are adding patches regularly. Get over it and just have fun like the rest of us. The game is damn good.
