Pantheon is my favorite champion in every way possible, from his lore, to gameplay, he is the true hero I always wanted, not a hero for only a nation like Garen and Darius, or an indifferent hero like Ryze, but a hero who is willing to fight for the greater good with everything that he has, a hero who doesn't want to do it all by himself, but teach the others that everyone can fight, inspiring, and powerful, the true embodiment of a man

Hey, thanks for the kind feedback! To be honest, he was just a major inspiration for this channel, that's all. I may have gone a bit too far being a copy-cat for some things, though...

Great start to the series. I really like the structure, no complaints really. The future segment is my favourite, it's really fun to see speculation on theories of where a champion could go next. If this series keeps going, I hope you balance it out with champs that don't have as much, or any, lore and focus on their future and potential their character archetype has.

The Call cinematic was supposed to show Pantheon right after the "In Battle, Broken" story. Which was to implicate that Iula had successfully relit Atreus undying will, after the Runination shenanigans.

3:50 I'm pretty sure Mt Targon is a direct reference to Mt Olympus in Greek mythology

True! I'm not sure how I didn't think of mentioning this ^^;

@@DelusionalPoet I wasn't criticizing. I just think it's worth noting that most, if not all the regions in Runeterra are directly inspired by recognizable, staple, historical cultures. Targon is very much inspired by Ancient Greece as much as Demacia is inspired by Camelot and medieval Europe, the Roman Empire for Noxus, Egypt for Shurima and ancient Scandinavia for the Freljord. I mean, Pantheon's character design is literally a whole-ass Spartan. Targon is Greek af

You're kind of misinterpreting Atreus' character. In the LoL universe, humans are normal humans, just like us. They may have special abilities, but overall the world is going for realism, thats why the interpretation of Targon for LoR and the original story are so fundamentally different. One is a shiny place filled with everything crystal and constellation-related stuff, while the other is a mostly barren, eerie and supernatural mountain range. The story says Atreus survived because he refused to die, but thats probably not the real reason. Aatrox managed to kill a celestial entity, so simply refusing death could have not saved him. There's probably something else we do not know, I mean why couldn't he decline the will of the Aspect if his determination was so strong? Of course he sees "his" fall as a triumph, he was borderline unconscious the entire time the Pantheon was controlling him. "He" was never an Aspect, he was just its vessel. That is also part of why he hates the divine so much, because Aspects were never the good guys in this story, as its apparent with Aurelion or the Solari/Lunari conflicts. His newest story is also quite terrible. Subversing expectations and taking away a characters' main motivation (especially when its connected to the garbage that is SoL) isn't as great of an idea as you make it out to be. Pantheon is greatly out of character, he defied death multiple times when facing gods and never gave up, but he now lost his motivation? Imagine if Rengar lost his motive to hunt one day, or if Diana gave up on her role as an Aspect suddenly, because something bad happened. Taking away something this important from a character is going to smell bad no matter what you do :/ But really the worst part of this video is how you completely missed the main conflict of the character. Pantheon's story is not just about not giving up against the divine, thats simply a main motivation for him. He hates gods, but every time he does something heroic, a star from the contsellation of War lights up again. This was both the case for his bio and color story. The end of his tale is easy to conclude: He is a mortal who despises gods, but ultimately, he must become one to protect his people. On the journey, he learns and grows to become more than a mere human
