Thank you Later on, or if the list is really small, then add genuine Italian and French in fact all EU genuine companies that make their stuff themselves strictly, not source from china, like u told us about diamond coating people. Please do this. It is very important. No small workshops guys or two brother or detailers who woke up one day watched some youtube videos and became auto detailing companies buy the cheapest stuff from china and rebranding it. unfortunatley usa is top in the list of doing that, look at tools major brands, Dewalt Milwaukee and all of them, made in china please please please NO china no china no china..... yes apple too.......lol but no china.... original companies with their own research centers making stuff by themselves ... i have watched enough of ur video and i can trust u with your information. i think your knowledge is top of the line so please......

Just done my car with this wax over the weekend. The water beading is insane. Did a full decontamination (iron and tar removal followed by claybar session) and a "one step" with my DA and then a wipe down with Bilt Hamber cleanser before the wax. It looks phenomenal - plan to just keep it topped up with Wet Coat. The car was new to me (2019 Tesla M3P) and had obviously spent it's time at the swirl-o-matic beforehand.

I used Gyeon Q2 wax summer of 2022 on my non-daily driver. The car is snow white pearl in color. I corrected the paint and prepped it with panel wipe prior to applying the wax. I applied with a machine and waited beyond the required wait period to remove. After application I was not really impressed with the glossiness or slickness. However, after a few days passed and the car sat in my garage it seemed to become more glossy. Slickness is ok. I can't speak to the hydrophobics since the car has not been in rain since the detail and I usually only do ONR washes because the car doesn't get very dirty. Longevity isn't a concern to me since the car is not daily driven and when I do a wash with ONR I top it with Obsessed Garage drying aid which adds a layer of protection and increases slickness.

You say the price is so good. Well I think it's still a very expensive 175grams. I have a tin can with 340 grams Mothers Californa Gold Pure Carnauba Wax for over 10 years and it's still not empty. When buying now the Mothers cost 32 euro and the Gyeon Wax cost 45 euro. That's 10,63 grams per euro for Mothers and only 3,8 grams per euro for Gyeon. So Gyeon is almost 3x expensive. Ofcourse the properties are not the same, but still pretty expensive to me. When my Mothers tin can is empty and I have to buy new, there's still no doubt I switch to this Gyeon though! This is an interesting wax but in my experience it has a haze to it, applying to glass it leaves a visibly greasy coat that seems to reactivate in sunlight. No matter how much you wipe with a clean dry cloth, it’s back once the glass heats up. On my vehicle which is deep metallic blue, you can see a haze in direct sunlight, but In shade it looks perfect. The hydrophobic qualities really are amazing though.

It’s generally not recommended to apply regular waxes on top of a ceramic protection as you would be masking the coating’s superior properties and the coating will eventually reject the wax anyways. This Gyeon Wax has chemistry allowing it to be applied on top of coatings. But yes I also prefer ceramic or graphene spray toppers on top of a coating. Quicker to apply.

Although you can use this on top of an existing coating, I still prefer to use silica spray sealants for coating maintenance. It's up to you to see if the combo would be good between your existing Autoglym coating (which I never tested) and the Gyeon Wax.

Thank you for this very interesting product review. I too am scared about applying a dedicated ceramic coating so something like this wax is very appealing. I too am a paste wax applier and use poorboys nattys blue as I like it’s ease and finish. But these Gyeon products look great. P.s what does the product smell like?

Do the results vary depending on how long you let the wax sit? also what products would you recommend for a maintenance wash after applying this wax?

Wait time only makes the wax easier to remove, not last longer. You can use any pH neutral car shampoo for maintenance, including Gyeon Bathe.

It depends what your definition of better is. Both products are good for different reasons. Fusso is more durable, but Gyeon Wax has more gloss and better hydrophobics.

Hey Pan. Another great instructive video as always. I actually noticed something you have said in this one as well as several previous videos, and I'm wondering what your recommendation would be. In the first years that I have owned my car I tried during the winter season to do proper maintenance washes. But after a few years, doing maintenance washes while staying away from automated car washes wasn't possible anymore. In fact, it way getting soooo complicated for me considering that I don't own a garage, so I just got fed up and decided to check if there would be a good option in regard to automatic car washers. I found "Pet....Can.... Super Soft" and asked then what is their soap pH and they said it's around 7. They also had a sample of the brush at the cashier's counter and believe me it's as soft as you can get. If my car has ceramic coating protection, would you consider that option to be acceptable? Thanks! :-)

I took my 2015 Macan S (white), my 2018 911-GTS (white) and 2018 McLaren 570spider (caracao blue) through Petro Canada TOUCH Car wash nearly every single day for YEARS with no issue at all. Only the McLAren didnt get the carwash in the winters since it was in storage... Gas station car washes have come a long way. Of course, by hand is better, but dont be scared of gas station washes
@L0n3W0lfBl4ck Жыл бұрын
During the winter I use the touch less car wash to keep the road salts etc to a minimum, but only on nice days and probably only once a month. During the spring summer and fall I wash etc by hand. I stay away from automatic washes with brushes because no matter how soft the brushes are you don’t know how dirty the vehicle was that was there before you. All you need is a lit sand stuck in the fibres to scratch the crap out of you car.

Hi Pan, do you prefer Gyeon Wax or Fussocoat? As they are both Fluoride based, would like to know your opinion on this.
@PanTheOrganizer6 ай бұрын
You can’t compare a wax (Gyeon) to a sealant (Fusso). Fusso will last much longer, but Gyeon Wax is slicker, glossier and has better hydrophobic properties and much easier to apply.

You can use the Gyeon Wax as a topper. But I prefer using ceramic sprays on top of coatings. So if you have a ceramic coating and want to maintain it, use WetCoat. If you prefer applying a wax, apply the Gyeon Wax first, and use WetCoat as maintenance.

Yet another great video. Question about using it. I'm in Cleveland Ohio, in the US. (Lake Erie) and it's finally warm enough to start hand washing and doing paint correction. I've yet to apply a ceramic coating to my vehicles. If I go through the steps of Descale, rinseless wash, clay towel, iron remover, wash again, paint correct now then apply the Gyeon Wax for protection until warm enough to ceramic coat, how hard will it be to remove, and what steps would I need to follow? (Would the descale and panel prep remove it all for coating?) Or would it be better to just apply something like the one coat, quick beads, etc?
@K2edg3 ай бұрын
Would this make a good topper to prevent water spotting on fresh ceramic coating?
@PanTheOrganizer3 ай бұрын
You'd have to ask Gyeon if you can apply this on a fresh coating. Perhaps Cure is a better option.

gyeon wax drying time, how long should I wait before erasing? do I have to leave the wax on the surface for 1 night? Before the application I didnt use a prep, it is problém?
@PanTheOrganizer3 ай бұрын
As I mentioned in the video, Gyeon says you need to leave it to cure for a minimum of 30 minutes before wipe-off. But you can also wait overnight if you want, and buff it off the next day. The more prep you do before applying a paint protection, the better the product will perform and the longer it will last. The bare minimum here is to wash the car, clay if it needs claying, and use a panel prep spray like Gyeon Prep to prep the surface. If you just washed the car and applied the wax, that's ok, but don't expect perfect results or durability.

I really wish they put more emphasis on making this black plastic trim friendly. Cars today are being covered in more and more of the stuff, and I like being able to go over the ENTIRE exterior of the car with one kind of sealant.

Great details Pan! I am so excited because I just ordered my first polishers yesterday. Went with Griot's G8 and G9 since they had good reviews and were cheaper than the Rupes, so best choice for me at the time. I also ordered some Gyeon Prep and MOHS so gonna apply my first ceramic! Gonna practice on my own 2016 Corolla (Black) to see how it goes. Could this be used as a "topper" over the ceramic, or would that be bad idea? Maybe something like Wet Coat instead?
@PanTheOrganizer Жыл бұрын
I prefer WetCoat as a topper, but as I mentioned in the video, yes Gyeon Wax can be used as a topper over a ceramic coated car. The vehicle in the demo was a coated one.
@ScrappersDetailing Жыл бұрын
@@PanTheOrganizer Yeah, I love a good wax, but Wet Coast seems to be just awesome. Is there a length of time to wait after coating to use a topper? I'm guessing it says in the directions, but I don't have the product yet :)
@PaulChoix55 Жыл бұрын
@@ScrappersDetailing for gyeon's coatings, i'd put a topper, such as wax or, imo a better solution, wetcoat, after the first wash if you want. But if you were to coat a car with Mohs, for example, you can add a coat of Gyeon Cancoat as an additional layer an hour after laying down Mohs, a bit like the Syncro kit does with Mohs + skin. Personally, i prefer to top with wetcoat when i see some degradation in the beading :)
