Love the guides man, MHFU was the first game in the series put a lot of hours into. Over the last few months I've been going back and playing every game in the series, first started with MH1 back in day but missed Gen 3 and 4 then came back to the series since World, something about the older games is just so good, i love modern MH as well but these old games are still so special.

Yep, I used to use hammer, but now that I know bombs work so well, I can use any weapon I want. It's nice not feeling stuck to one weapon type or another, since this is so easy to do, and even helps when using "more effective" weapon matchups... but, like, again, lol, once you break the stomach, every weapon becomes viable. So... I knew about bombing his chest, I just never could figure out how, I guess I could trap it or put it to sleep, but putting it to sleep would require a specific weapon, then I figured, what if I just try to bomb it as it gets up...? It was a pretty big brain moment for me. That is to say I felt dumb for not having thought of it before lmao

To those who are not willing to use Melee weapons. You can use Blue Kut ku armor(gunner) then use Lobster Gun. You can get the mats from Plesioth which are Small Lobsters. Then Use Water S bullets and pierce shots, bring bombs and normal shots(just in case you run out of water S) Always hit his belly until you break it. Bring combines aswell For water S bullets. Basarios is weak to water element and using water S bullets makes his belly easily Destroyed. Hope this helps.

Bringing a lot of LBB+ and/or using sleep coatings with bows really helped me here, or if you're a Blademaster, try using Guild Knight Sabres DS, really high damage and high element

This fight is way too easy with the kut-ku cannon and a full stock of bullets. Its almost boring. That being said, a blade master might have a much harder time. Im doing a blade master playthrough so ill likely take that statement back.

Yeah you can do it again. You can repeat it also if you put it to sleep (which will make it do 3x damage for one of the bombs) or trap it. MHFU doesn't have slicing ammo, and I'm not really a gunner so I couldn't tell you, sorry.

It's not that weak to ice, and that's a weapon that you can't get until high rank. This video is mostly talking about low rank, I can't give you a weapon recommendation without knowing at what point you're in the game, as this video assumes you're only at 4* village elder, and never done the guild quests.

Yeah it's keep Bouncing so you need Artisan skill to negate bouncing melee weapons when you attack monster without problem (in side effects, maybe your sharpness will decrease faster than before, it's totally worse and good skill same time) so keep mind first

Basarios is really easy lol. Its just how much can u whistand with a giant rock. Cant recommend GS, Dual Sword?, u need water element on it like "order rapier". Ur attack just bounce everytime?, DEMON MODE + (Tri+Cir)!!!!. with it, u not need to bounce every hit. But, ur DS gonna get rusted pretty fast since its a DS drawbacks.

No maymays. Big sad. Basarios is a good boi to learn lance, gunlance, bow and bowgun on. He's one of the few cases of objectively bad weapon type matchups. I was so sure my *W E T* Fiddlebrix could handle breaking its chest in MHGU, but _forty minutes later..._ ( ͡◉ ͜ʖ ͡◉) Meanwhile, even the weakest water bows are basically cheating. He doesn't even get a way to hit a backhopping (gun)lancer until 4U. Vacuum Striker is pretty much made for Basarios, specifically.

I used the hermitaur bow for both Basarios and Gravios. I'm not getting close to them just so my weapons bounce

@@Princegaming-rj9vi Not necessarily. It's the easiest, for sure, but it takes forever to kill anything with the bow (easily 20 minutes with low rank daimyo bow)
