Yeah he really has been the story of these playoffs ever since taking over in game 5 against Boston! Basically every team these last years from both conferences has touched the trophy at this point. I forget which team did it first but I think the caps in 2018 touched it and basically every team after them did the same and there are examples before of champions touching the trophy

I'm super happy for Florida. This is a franchise that missed the playoffs 16 of 18 seasons from 2001-2019, they didn't win a playoff series for 26 years and this is the first time in 27 years they've made it to the finals. I think it's awesome that it will likely be Vegas and Florida in the finals, two hockey markets that aren't talked about so much. GROW THE GAME.

This is Eric Staal's 18th NHL season. It would have been his 20th if it had not been for the 2004-2005 NHL Lockout, and him not being signed by any NHL team for the 2021-2022 season. If Florida wins the Stanley Cup this season, he should return! He could be the 50th or 51st member of the NHL 500+ goals club. His competition for the # 50 spot is Patrick Kane. Evgeni Malkin will be the 48th member of the NHL 500+ goals club, and Joe Pavelski will be the 49th.

Tampa Stamkos last year I believed skated with the trophy and it was taken to the Lightning locker room. The Avs left the Campbell trophy on the ice. So hockey fans say don't touch the damn trophy its cursed. It's up to the players who win I guess.
