Let’s just be real here. Running the ball takes more time off of the clock,than passing the ball and if you have success running the ball and you’re taking time off of the clock that’s less time for the opposing team to be on the field to try and score against you. If you can run the ball consistently, the opposing teams defense will be more tired in the fourth quarter. And that’s when you go for the jugular like they did against the Raiders. Go Chargers!

@@RJeezy_400 I half agree with his take. I would say it's 50/50 for NFL teams who have a quality second back who really deserves to share the load and can be effective. If you have that balance, by all means, don't run your top guy into the ground. If you're one of the 14 to 16 teams where there is a goodly gap between 1 and 2. Then ride the horse. It's probably more of a "team building argument" vs. philosophy though.

The first half for the Chargers was like their first pre-season game. The majority of the players hadn't played in any pre-season game, so this was their first time together in a real game. Had to get rid of the rust.

We definitely need to run the ball! I say for this game we need to start fast, Mix the run with play action, get the score up, then sit back, run the ball and just let the defense have a field day on Young.

I know that the temptation, especially early on, is to want to get Justin going... but you are absolutely right that running the ball is key today. The Chargers need to establish a new identity and have that opportunity early in the year. We know what Justin is and what he can do. We're still discovering what we can do in the run game. I look for more focus on the pass game after the bye week.

Great job guys! I love the crossover shows. My ONLY complaint is that a points pick should have been made from each host. One of the sponsors is a betting line for goodness sake, so take the dive, even if you don't like it! Just some advice for the future. Otherwise, I LOVED the honest analysis along with fandom from each sides of the conversation. I'm thinking the game will be closer than the spread, given the embarrassment Carolina faced last week. Charger fans we have to stay level headed and not think Carolina is an easy win. We haven’t put out great film on offense yet other than those 2-3 runs from JK. Stay humble we probably won’t get rolling until closer to bye week
