I used to have a squirt bottle with water in it and spray when the cat went onto the countertop. She decided she didn’t like it.

I feel like we are the same person. My house looks very similar to your “before” sometimes worse sometimes better. But I love home decor and fashion and all the things, but I have let my love for pretty things get out of hand to the point where it is just toxic consumerism. I have been on a decluttering journey myself and am very glad to find your videos ❤

Same for my cats.. I just make sure to use disinfectant spray before I start cooking or use the table for anything food related..!

AWWWW, so refreshing to have a decluttered home! Thanks for the inspiration. Keeping cats off of countertops and furniture takes persistence and consistency. It definitely IS really gross when you think about it. Cats track litter box YUCK all over counter surfaces 😝. I told myself years ago I would never own another cat if I couldn't keep them off my furniture, so I got serious about it. I started using a spray bottle of water and a firm "no" whenever I caught my precious baby somewhere I didn't like him to be. Cats like to be high to observe their surroundings. Be sure to give him his own "cat tower/bed/scratching post" that he can call his own. Ten years and two cats later and I am so thankful I was patient but consistent and now reap the blessings of owning cats and not cats owning me 🙃.

Great job!! Sometimes stuff gets away from us, but I know you now feel sooooo much better! I cringed a bit (me being neurotic😅) when you were vacuuming the floor but did the shelves after pushing debris lower. Less work to go top to bottom. Have a fab day!!

My pantry got a makeover this new year and I'm loving it! We had those horrible wire shelves and now we have nice wooden shelves. I love how it came out! We have so much space now cause we added 2 cabinets. Have a redone space motivates me to stay organized! Can I just say, I love your animals😍I don't like my cats on the counters but if you don't mind, who cares if others don't like it lol😸

Professional organizer of eight years and minimalist… Never ever go food shopping the day you think you need to… You will find many many dinner options in your fridge/freezer/pantry Try a spray bottle of water for the cat or tinfoil on the counter

I gave mine a little swat and yelled "No!"...since they were little...yep...that's right...shame me if you want lol 🤣🤪 but they stay off 97% of the time now. In the rare event they hop of there I snap my fingers or yell "No!" And they b-line it off. They know better now. You just have to stay consistent 😊

I let my cats on the counter too. It’s their house as well. People get weird about it, but I know to put a paper towel or bread board down before preparing anything. To me, it’s no biggie.
