I've heard her say before that when the pandemic started, she and Josh had to scramble to get enough food to feed everyone every day and for some of their adopted kiddos, it triggered food insecurity that some of the came from before coming to them.

She has mentioned before that some of her family deal with food insecurity. A common approach to deal with the anxiety of food insecurity is to have a back stock of basics, and work to keep things stocked up. As long as she’s rotating food, it should be fine. And help alleviate some anxiety.

During covid it was tough for them to get enough food for all of them, and with her kids being in past foster homes and not getting enough food she said she wasn't going to have them worry about not having enough, so when she notices she's getting low she stocks up on more!

Just a suggestion...I would put the frozen stuff in the passenger seat next to you when you load the car so you can just grab it on your way in and don't have to search for it...thanks for the video

There's great recipes online for things like cracker barrels hashbrown casserole and olive garden alfredo. It seems like your kids really embrace when you guys run with a theme and maybe they would think it was fun to turn the house into a certain restaurant for the day.

i’m just curious do you have a generator in case your electricity goes out because that would be horrible to waste all that refrigerated freezer stuff. Do you have mouse traps or roach traps? Does it get too hot in that garage for some of the snack foods? I know here in Texas we couldn’t really use the garage to do it as a dry pantry because it just gets too hot.

If u take stuff out of the boxes in one of the freezers u will have more room.. plus before you go food shopping look at what u already have and the same thing with the pantry stuff before you buy more stuff...if u see ur your yogart going to expire soon then give a kid one with a breakfast or a lunch to get rid of it....

Don't let haters get to you. I have children who do not eat anything. Sometimes something is better than nothing. Also, many kids comes from homes with no food. A surplus of food is a way to help those kids not worry about if they can eat. Your doing a darn good job. Better than many of them had 12 kids. Love you.

yes! I love mine, we didn't have one for a long time but it is great especially in the summer time when it is so hot and you want something cold. Also it allows me to have space in the fridge without the drinks taking up space. I also put protein shakes and coffee drinks.

My 8 sons did that. They also packed their lunches. Did she ever say if they ate all the food? Lunch is not long enough I’m public schools. I wonder if she is concerned about the amt. of sugar and carbs they eat. I think she is a loving mom. She has put herself on to the world. I find it odd that she is bothered if people make negative comments. Many of us have big families to feed, clothe, nurture, and love. She must expect some dissension. We all learn from one another.

And many if tbe things are packaged so they can be salvaged if not eaten. The general idea is that a full belly is the priority and they have access tp perfectly healthy foods in addition to the snacks. Bodhi has a stomach condition that has caused him to be hospitalized, fed is best and a full belly is the priority. There are also many children in tbe house who had food insecurity trauma, and the pandemic was extremely hard because of the shortages recalls and limits on purchases. Her and Josh had to go to multiple stores to get enough chicken for one meal. So now she stocks up, especially on the kids favorite snacks and safe foods.
