One is used to this Rangapuravihara; what makes this delightfully unique is the prasarich -- nga sounds so many times in the shloka -- shloka leading to the song rendering. Mrs Pantula Rama is undoubtedly leading female singer in our music. Her violinist husband does a classy thing thus depriving us of intruding violin sounds while she does the alapana -- good for you Sri Murthy. Bharadwaj is brilliant with appropriate strokes of mridu anga sounds. Kannada I knew from the very first hum : what followed Bhadrachala Ramadasu's rich in sahitya "O Raghunandana ra ra Raghava Sri Raghunandana ra ra Rama" Come on over, come, come Sri Rama to my immediate presence!

A talented & seasoned & vocalist with a good, pliable voice, vidushi pantula rama gave an exquisite performance. Nice selection of kritis with good diction & well executed ; the alApanais, swaraprastarams, etc were with full sowkya- bhava. Wonderful. 👍Starting with gAnamurti (gAnamurtE by the saint wherein be praises Lord Krishna) a kannada (O! raghunandana by BR) a beautiful BrindAvana sArangA (rangapura vihAra by dikshitar on srirangam divyadEsam) KG(rAmahO rAmahO by BR) a brisk bilahari (evarani vedanu by Mysore vAsudEvAchAriar) a harmonious husEni (rAma rAma rAma seeta by the saint) a slightly fast-paced YK (pAhimAm sri rAma by BR) pantuvarALi (boochivani piluvabOdurA by BR) & concludibg with neelAmbari (lAliyugavE by the saint where he sings lullaby to perumal) The violin support by vidwan Murthy was wonderful. His ragam essays were graceful👌The percussion support by vidwan NC Bharadwaj (mridangam) & vidwan BSP (ganjira) was brilliant.👍 Thanks to Madrasana for bringing the event live 🙏
