Been watching these videos since I pulled a 1977 me 109 kit out of a pile from my friends deceased fathers collection. I like the layering process and particularly washes and dry brushing. The reveal effect is killer!

I'm always blown away by how your models are so life-like they make me wonder what that tank and crew went through. What are their names? What battles did they fight? Who did they lose? How did their tank get its damage? Where did they get the tracks? These models inspire the most vivid of daydreams. The ones where the crew isn't fighting, Fury style. But they're sitting on and around the tank, talking. Repairing it. Just trying to get through life. I wonder what jokes they told

Your technique is one of the better ways in my opinion I haven’t built a model since 1985 I learned much from an experienced builder In those days and I built many 1/35 Tamiya kits and dioramas. I enjoy watching your channel keep up the hobby.

amazing again! many years ago, when I was building military- models, I had a very efficient an simple way for winter camouflage. Mix fine chalk powder with water an put it on the painted model with a brush. When it's dry, you have a white cover. Then you can take a brush to wipe the chalk off the edges an make weathering. Works fine. nI fixed it with hairspray. Back in the days you had no big choice. Maybe you want to try it.

"after 10 minutes of searching"...one of the best modeling tools I own is an apron modified by my wife. It's a standard shop apron, but on the hem she sewed velcro strips. Then, I took the mating side of the velcro and attached them to the underside of my workbench. When I sit down, I just attach the hem of the apron to the bottom of the workbench, and viola! Since she gave this to me, I think I have saved hours looking for runaway parts. Of course, tiny parts held by a tweezer are a different matter when they shoot across the room, but there you have it.

I never even thought to thin down the spaced armour holders! Then there is the part where you use thin brass to replicate the armour and use the plastic parts as a template! I feel like I've been asleep all this time! Well done sir.

I used to make model tanks 20 years ago and thought I was quite good, even adding talcum powder to brown paint, my invention although I am sure others also came up with that idea as well, to make pretty realistic mud that clung onto the models. I thought I was pretty good at the whole modelling hobby. Now, years later, I watch clips like this and realise just how far away from good I was. I love watching these type of clips and seeing real skill at work

As always an absolute pleasure to watch, Thanks! Edit: These Link-and-Length Tracks are best assembled as whole and then mounted on the running gear. I lay them on double sided tape and glue them together with slow setting cement ( I use Revell Professional), let them sit for a few minutes and then just lay them in place. Also the Returnrollers are not rubberized on the real tank ;)

As a veteran driver of armoured vehicles, I can tell you that the only thing we used to remove panels under the engine was a sledge hammer, there would have been NO oil leakage from the underside of any armoured vehicle.

When you lost the return roller it reminded me of when I was making my AR-15A1 rifle project. The tiny " E Clip " that holds the ejection port rod in place shot across the room when I tried to press it into place. Never to be found. I had to order a new one. I mean I ordered 5 new ones haha.

For antennas, try using guitar string. You can unwind one of the heavier strings and it leaves a nice springy antenna. If you leave a little bit wound at the end, it simulates the spring base of a real antenna.

212 number belongs to 502 heavy tank battalion, which included the great German tank ace Otto Carius and had on his tiger number 212

That's a tactical marking. Means 2nd company, 1st platoon, 2nd tank. A zero in the number means headquarters.

Operational Panzers tended not to have the Balkenkreuz visible on them. They were usually covered by paint / dirt due to them standing out and giving away the tank from afar

Hi Plasmo I really like the finished look. It is something to aspire to. The only suggestion I would make is to remove the tracks on the turret next to the cannon. The tracks would not be there as they would interfere with the rangefinder and sights for the gunner.
