Thank you for including a 5/32 wrench could be used. I needed to adjust the height on one of the headlights on a 2002 Mercury Marquis and used a 5/32 wrench from an old set of ignition wrenches. With the top plastic piece removed I was able to go half a turn at a time and had the job done in just a few minutes.

To be honest I just used a small cheap adjustable wrench to adjust them. The adjustable wrench was slightly tighter at the tip, and looser at the base so I could easily turn it with the tip, slide it to the base and "ratchet back" and then slide back to the tip to continue.

So, i havent had a LOT of rime, but my header panel has some cracks and stuff in jt, because the guy before me AND I both hit a deer... My question is, do the headlight adjusters rely on the header panel being stiff?
@PanzerPlatform4 жыл бұрын
Hey Troy, Thanks for watching, and taking time to comment. I would say no, because the adjusters are mounted to the back of the headlight assembly. However, if the headlight assembly mounting locations are moving around while driving, then you may have a wandering beam pattern. Take a look at this video to get a better look at the mounting location. kzbin.info/www/bejne/raKcZ2angJ10m9k Sorry I'm not more help. -Chuck

@@PanzerPlatform No worries bro, I mean its pretty difficult to describe damage to a piece of fiberglass. What I do know, is that the the drivers side light is WAY WAY Way too high and to the right... At 7 ft away, the drivers is about 4" highers and maybe 1 1/2" to the rigbt of the passenger side... Also my car is a. '00 Grand Marquis, but im assuming its the same as the Vic

Oooh, I wish you would have told me that before. Crown Victoria, and Gramd Marquis headlights are different. I have a 2004 Vic, and a 2010 Grand Marquis. They have totally different adjustment set ups. My Vic has vertical, and horizontal adjustments. My Grand Marquis only has a vertical adjustment (no horizontal adjustment). @@Yophillips3272 My factory assemblies are completely hazed over with that oxidation, and have been for the past 10 years. My CV looks way better just with the new lights. They were only $50 for both, but I still feel like the OEM ones would be easier to fit and adjust. And probably last longer.
