[PAOLO SOLERI] Bridges

The exhibition BRIDGES: SPANNING THE IDEAS OF PAOLO SOLERI at the Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art (SMoCA) was held from October 9, 2010 to January 23, 2011. The show coincided with the completion of Soleri's first bridge which was dedicated on December 11, 2010 in downtown Scottsdale, Arizona.

Here in the US, a lot of our bridges are in desperate need of repair. Some need to be flat-out replaced, and there is even need for new bridges. Perhaps some of the new bridges, and replacement bridges (which would after all be new bridges) could use some of these designs. If they are both beautiful and practical (and they would seem to be both), then why not?

This is why you shouldn't let someone who does sculptures to do bridges
