Thank you ADCSFXworks Printing Center. I fixed my printer using this video. I found it more difficult than I thought I would. I may have had the new part rotated 180 degrees but whatever the problem was I fixed it in the end. It now prints perfectly. I most certainly could not have done this without you showing the way.

Well, I followed your video and took it apart. I had a hard time not to touch or dent the transfer screen. It was ok to take apart but a bit of a pain to put it back together. I found no damage to the screen wiper but found it to be very dirty inside and on the wiper. So, I cleaned it with alcohol, wiped down the screen, and vacuumed the inside I had some fingerprints and small dents on the screen from mishandling it. But all together, the prints came out 85% cleaner with no ghosting. Thanks for the video, could never have done without it.

Wow, this video was extremely helpful! Especially with all the details for reassembling the unit. It has saved me a lot of headaches. With the new (refurbished) rubber blade, my Samsung CLX-3175 N is printing like on the first day!

I have the exact printer and this saved me from pushing it out my second story window. I have a paper jam issue also. The paper doesn't leave the cartridge. If I open the back door and close it, while paper is still jammed, it cycle through. Drives me NUTS!!! Could you do a video on the jam issue?

Excellent video. It fixed my ghosting issues. I still have 2 horizontal lines (about a centimeter apart) that fade from the right side of each page. Any idea on what would be causing that? I was hoping the ghosting fix was going to address both things.

Hi :) ONE centimeter apart I don't know what would cause that, could it be around 2.6cm? If it is, it's probably one of the toner cartridges. Does it do it only on the black or even in the 3 colours?

I have two questions: I don't find any webshop anymore where I can order a new transfer belt cleaning blade and (worst case scenario) can you give me the original Samsung partnumber of the transferbelt. I have a CLX-3175N and I assumed that the partnumber is JC96-04840C but according to some sites, this tranferbelt doesn't fit in my printer but is does in the CLX-3175FN...Can you please help me out with these two questions?

Hi Raf! The CLX-3175n and CLX-3175fn are literally the same printer, with the difference that the FN variant includes a FAX sending and receiving capability and the N variant does not. Generally speaking when you search for replacement spare parts you should search for the "series" of printers, in this case you can search for CLX-3175 as nearly every replacement part works in both the FN and N variants. Said this, I confirm you that JC96-04840C is the correct part number for the full transfer belt unit. I have found a seller for the transfer belt blade only but it has gotten pretty expensive (around 40$) and it's a used part, so if you can find a full transfer belt new locally it would be better.

my CLX3170 gets me crazy. I already spent money to replace some months ago the fuser unit and recently the black toner, now with evident ghosting issues, I tried to replace the drum as well. I found this video too late so, I tried to check the transfer belt unit but working on it I damaged it. It's really too delicate. The cleaning blade looked OK but the transfer belt is over now😞I don't know if it's conveninet to spend other budget for this printer or to look for something else. Tips? Any good bargain for a dometic printer to use from time to time?

Hi :) do you need to print in colour? Because colour laser printers for domestic use are way less reliable than b/w laser printers, and inkjet colour printers get printhead clogs if they are not used regularly. If you decide to replace the transfer belt, look only for a NEW one, not used, as the cleaning blade could have degraded over time, it's not easy to tell if the blade is bad or not on those models as the blade gets slightly bent, but just a tiny bit, that is sufficient to give you problems but it's not easy to notice.

Of course I prefer a color printer than a b/w one. I'll think what can be a good solution. Do you have advice for a reliable b/w home printer with low cost of materials and toner?

Hello. I have a Samsung clx-3185fw that when it prints, a "shadow" appears (the image printed at the beginning of the sheet is repeated at the end of the sheet, but much lighter, almost like a watermark). I changed the toner cartridges, but the shadow continues to appear. What component could be causing this defect that I can replace? Thank you for your attention. Rogerio Capuano

Hi Rogerio, it's most likely the drum cleaning blade, you have to replace the drum cleaning blade or, if you don't want to mess with that, just replace the entire drum unit. To be sure you can measure between the beginning of the print and the beginning of the shadow of the same part of the print, if it's around 188mm it's that.

Caro Paolo, il tuo video è in inglese e non ho compreso il motivo dello smontaggio sul tuo video, senza sostituzione di nastro nuovo. Ho una CLX 3175FW e con pellicola sotto le 10 mila copie tra b/n e colore la macchina segna rosso, anche se l'ultima copia fatta a colori era perfetta. Cosa si può guastare dopo lo spegnimento e riaccensione? Che tu sappia, quali sono i motivi di errore cinghia trasferimento? Può il sistema segnalare un motivo più specifico e preciso? La diagnostica da pc mi segnala macchina spenta, problema risolto (non commento). Grazie. Aspetto la tua gentile risposta.

Hi! Do you see the shadow of the printed page on the next page, or at the bottom of the same page? If you see the shadow of the first page entirely on the second one (like in this video) there's no doubt it's a transfer belt issue and maybe the one you bought is defective. If you see the image repeated at the bottom of the same page it's a problem with the drum cleaning blade, so the drum unit.
