Jack with tuning you really need to put milage on the truck before you step on it ... some values in the trans reset to zero when tuned and make shifting rough and changes the shift points

Don’t recommend flooring the cummins on tunes 3 and up, your 48re isnt going to like it much unless you plan on building it. You need to adjust the 2nd gear band on that trans and prob a fluid flush to make it last as long as possible!

I have an 06 5.9 and gone through a couple transmissions...Anything over stock power will hurt a stock 48re. They have stamped steel converters. You need at least a billet converter and an upgraded valve body to add some power.

I wouldn’t really go above tune 3 if you go tune 4 it’ll hold but you’re on borrowed time even though the 48 is the best trans dodge made the stock ones still aren’t very strong from the factory like all the other dodge trans

48 re won't hold up. I've got two. 2500 like yours and a 3500, Both 4wd. I went with a Suncoast trans with a Revmax triple disc converter. Billet input, output and pistons. Upgraded servos.

48re trans is garbage if you daily it. On my 3rd built trans for 800 hp and I maybe make 550. They shift fast and are good for racing and pulls but a stock one didn’t even last me 80,000 miles on stock tuning

Mine was a 06 with the G56 and when I added a 100hp tune the clutch started slipping. Lol itll start to slip shortly after you use tune 4 and 5.

Well if it helps the 48re de tunes th engine up to 570 ft lbs. I’ve heard they are good for 375 horse.

You definitely need an Air Dog fuel pump to replace the stick one. It helps support mods and flows fuel much better

To get bugs off I use a dryer sheet. Put little water on it and the bugs come right off. Won't damage paint use it all the time on my scat pack. Way easier. Love channel keep up the good work.
