Akuma had a lot of mix ups and crazy moves in sf4. The opponent had to guess a lot.
@matthewirizarry8467
@matthewirizarry8467 3 ай бұрын
Sometimes it was worse than just guessing. A few characters (ibuki, akuma, and yun for example) had setups that were functionally unblockable. They could hit you at the very top center of your hurtbox, and because your hurtbox would change slightly depending on which side you were blocking, it didnt matter which side you chose, they would always hit the other side.

We all know Tokido big moments. But a couple of years ago I seen ISDD first to 10, Tokido was Urien att and his fundamentals were what impressed me. There was a lot of 2-2 rounds but he'd always take last round and game and it was 10-1 Tokido but it looked like a 10-7, Guile Vs Urien it was a great set dispite the score. But also I've just started playing SF6 because I needed a Brook Adapter for my stick and it's a different Street fighter and I'm not sure I like it, I don't like you can't jump over your opponent in the corner, surely that has to be a first in SF. Anyway it's different for sure and I'm just trying to time these drive rush cancels or whatever, yknow the green glow dash, I don't really like that either. I think they should have put as much attention into a proper SF rather than change the game mechanics so much that I can't see the continuation from 3,4,5 to 6. Maybe it'll grow on me I'm not sure.

People have to stop calling techniques dirty. If you got your ass folded up, you learn the rotation and punish. Sometimes, all it takes is a good eye and the ability to punish quickly then reset.
@Spawn3582
@Spawn3582 2 ай бұрын
On the flip side, you have to accept that some things are genuinely cheap/dirty In Dbfz, for example, you used to be able to do dp into assist. A character had an unreactable/invincible command grab that recovered faster than you could punish in most cases. So yea. Having certain mix can also be seen as cheap depending on the game. Having a good eye doesnt matter if its a true 50/50 or 4-way mix. You literally have to guess and most times, being right doesnt get you out of that situation

@@Jaedon1981 It can be both. Sometimes due to developer screw ups or oversight, there are things left in games that are blatantly overpowered or it's some sort of glitch, But at the same time you can't blame players in a tournament for using the strongest moves/characters/tactics since they're playing for real money, that's on the developers.

Tokido will always play akuma unless he becomes too hard to win with, in a game like sfv the balance was so over the place that you kind of had to go top tier as a pro. Hiom picking Luke is not something I enjoyed....but then again every pro player switcxhed to luke, he was just too strong

Just out of curiosity how do people see punk nowadays? I remember he was America's sweetheart back on this Evo he got second place in but then it seems to me people started having a more negative opinion of him or something. Legit asking, haven't followed the FGC in a minute

You might be misremembering because Punk was really controversial back then, some people loved him some people hated him. He goofs around, had the funny hats and stuff, people didn't like that. To me it seemed people just didn't like the fact he out of nowhere started beating the greats they held on such a pedastal, and trash talking them. I haven't followed him to closely over the last couple of years, but I don't believe he's done anything to outrageous or has a really negative rep per se

He has a lot of ego, and while his skill makes it not unjustified, a lot of people contrast that with how he ALWAYS chokes at the finish line. He is good, but his mouth and his chronic inability to clinch wins kinda drags him down.,

Nothing has changed honestly. Extremely talented but a sore loser. He loses an important match and says that he is going to quit the game but returns like after 2 weeks.

I love when someone takes a “if the rules allow it” approach to competition. Coming from combat sport, people hate foot stomping but it is legal and until it is made illegal then it is permissible even if dickish. In juijitsu leg locking was frowned on and is now the biggest part of juijitsu competition. If the rules allow it then do not get mad at the competitors, change the rules.
