Evo 2016 holds a special place in many people's hearts as crowd favorite Long Island Joe takes on the Japanese in Street Fighter 5. He plays against some of the best in the world and is able to make a statement as one of the strongest Nash players in SF5.

yes respect, and the response to that is making a video saying how an american (a colonised land) is better then the people who created the franchise its like western mainstream media, always biased/racist to china/russia/iran, watch on THEIR news networks its just normal news, none of the biased narrative and hate in the west: "and how china is failing and arresting this person or detaining that person", watch chinese news, is just normal everyday news

American players did not really win against the Japanese, the EVO is held in America. We are talking about 8720 American players vs 172 Japanese players registered to paticipate in the tournament last year, not to mention the some japanese players are experiencing jet-lag and have very little time to prepare. Plus a lot of American players won with the "turtle style + light punch+grab" and stupid 50/50 guessing game, not with skill. Overall SF5 is a terrible fighting game and by far the worst in street fighter series.

It was the input delay ircc that made him really strong in vanilla SFV. They nerfed his dash ircc as well as the input delay being reduced didnt help him. S2 was a lot more characters needed explosive Vtriggers which Nash didnt have. By the end of the game like CE update Nash was solid again

The title makes it look like you are proud he beat them just because the game is created by japanese. Why cant you just be proud of him winning the tournament? This game was created so we can all be one community, but it just seems like its everyone against japanese players.
@vietnamsemonky4082
@vietnamsemonky4082 7 ай бұрын
So you’ve missed the point of national rivalries entirely lol. No one dislikes the Japanese and this video praises every Japanese player. The topic is how an American player who no one thought could go far in the tournament actually do that and beat several high level Japanese players who have been the only ones dominating Street Fighter at that level. If someone keeps winning something, eventually they get people who want to see them lose, it’s just how competition works.

No everyone agrees that 5 was bad because: 1-it had one of the most pathetic lunches any fighting game has ever seen 2-one of the worst balancing the franchise ever seen for 3 years straight 3- an online so bad they had to have a fan fix it for them yet they still fuc*ed it up somehow 4-an oversimplified neutral 5- a cheap comback mechanic that pretty much rewarded the losing player for losing I can go oooooon and oooooon about what an absolute sh*t-show half of sf5's live span was
